Stock manual BMW M2 Nordschleife BTG in 7:55
In traffic, track partially damp. Looks like the rumoured potential 7:52 may be realistic.

Just a reminder that BTG is not a full lap. Good time none the less.

And the M2 variant is rumored to have lapped 8 seconds faster than the M4.

The 7:52 by the M4 is a time that was achieved by a journalist in the Sport Auto Supertest. The 7:58 from the M2 is an official BMW lap time. Sport Auto has already posted their time for the M2. And it's not "very close" (I think it was 8:02). So please: Always compare times that were driven by the same "person" or manufacturer. Of course BMW claims a better time (because they know how to set up the car better than some journalist) than Sport Auto.
I don't think that the M2 will be close to the E92 M3 GTS when driven by the same driver and under the same conditions.

Yep, tires, cage, seats removed. I'm not sure of what other mods that "stock" civic had. Probably tune, suspension, brakes, you know.

See my sig . According to TG Germany talking to BMW M GmbH engineers there was a 7:52 in it(M2) but because of obvious reasons (hence M3/4 canibalism) , 7:58 would do better in the marketing dept. Cheers Robin |

Its more or less on par with a production Seat Leon Cupra manual. No moderate power fwd should be getting near it. Whether the Cupra time is to be believed or not is another thing entirely. |
