Also, I had a go in a few of those cars, including the yellow wrapped one, which is actually green and gold (Australian rugby union team colours). Scott Jacob was our instructor for the motorkhana and took me out for a hot lap in an M3 as well, sideways the whole time. The guy is a superlative driver. These cars are being punished around tracks all over Australia (35 degrees is a cool summer day in QLD) day in and day out and are still going strong, a great advert for reliability. Honestly, if anyone is on the fence about buying an M2, pay your money, go to the M Performance drive day and find out. They really let you have a go in the cars and you just won't know for sure till you drive the hell out of one. A test drive on regular roads isn't enough. For me, as soon as I got in the car, it was just one of those moments, like the first time you met your wife and you just knew, yup, this is it. One lap and I was a goner. |

My 2003 M3 and 2007 M roadster were both silver gray. It was a beautiful color but now I am in the anything but whites, blacks, grays or silvers camp now. Too many monochromatic cars on the road these days... the reason I went Long Beach blue. It just suits the M2.

BMW must have thought: "Yellow or red ? Nah, leave that to the M4 or Cayman GT4. The base M2 may look great, but not too great".

Nice to show some drifts in that movie. But All the cars you drive have dsc off programmed out of the car. Nice movie but for experianced drivers it s a boring day! You can drive in pace car laps with dsc on. The only smoke you will see is from a sigar!

I can't speak for your experience, but I was able to turn DSC off. We weren't supposed to, but I try and break one rule a day where I can... with MDM on (sport+) the car moved around nicely, was throttle adjustable and would hold a slide quite a while before dialling down the throttle. Where did you attend your event?

I find it interesting that the M2s all have sunroofs which, unless I am mistaken, isn't even an option here in the US.
