My favorite mod so far:

OEM ///M Performance shifter w/ Alacantra boot (For M235) from ECS Tuning. Shortened the shift, and the weight eliminted most of the OEM nothiness. Dying the threads Blue to match...

And the knob lights up as well I guess?

How do you dye those threads? with some permanent marker pencil thing or how?

Cheers

I have the MP knob in my M135i as well and Iam loving it! Much better feeling than with the standard knob.

It does not light up, btw.

Nice to hear! What I don't like about the shifter in the M2/M3 and M4 is that 1) the knob sits too high, 2) the throw is too long, and 3) shift effort is too damn light.

I was thinking of getting an SSK, but maybe this OEM solution would do?

Its been everywhere all over the boards any M235i DP is direct bolt on. Make sure to get one without bracket, or i believe ull have to get rid of it...

I went with VRSF 4", will later be running a 3" exhaust valve, controlled right after the cat...The rest of the exhaust is basically a 3" straight pipe w/ smooth bends and a seemingly non restrictive res and valved muffler.

The dp i went with is pictured earlier in the thread and I state the type...Research as much as u can before asking questions bc there are dozens of posts on it you still may want to read b4 picking a brand

Also a with a video of a BSM M2 w/ the same exact mods as mine (NOT MY CAR, BECAUSE STREET RACING/RECKLESS DRIVING IS ILLEGAL AND DANGEROUS), doing some pulls with lightly modded F8X M3/M4's...Also another M2 (Bone Stock)....The consistency of the 5 - 6 runs isn't scientific by any means and it'd be a lie to say the M3/M4 doesn't have a tremendous amount of potential over the M2...

But for just 20-30% e-85 and a downpipe, beating or running neck and neck even pulling a little with an M4 with exhaust (unknown) upto VMAX! ,or before the DP & E85 taking 2-3 cars on a M3 w/ muffler delete & charge pipe (Him having to catch up)... M2 is slightly underrated...And After Enzo gets his hands on my car I think it'll be impressive....Im only holding about 13 PSI according to my guages with spikes to 17.

VIDEO M2 vs M2,3,4...

First video on youtube of street runs with an M2 vs. M2/M3/M4....The camera car is NOT mine although identical. I was not involved or present. Used footage of my car for intro and Pics....I edited the video. I Don't break the law or condone illegal racing or reckless driving.

"M2 (Downpipe & E85) vs Stock M2 & Lightly modded M3 & M4"]M2 (Downpipe & E85) vs Stock M2 & Lightly modded M3 & M4

Obviously, This is'nt scientific but it shows the M2 can be very capable (which we all know)....

Enzo is getting my car today/tomm...So put aside some cash because the best and (ONLY TUNER I'D USE) will have an Official Enzo Calibration

I will do members here a favor and ask him to offer a bimmerpost discount....Or group buy...IDK his answer but wont hurt to ask,.

PS. Please follow me on youtube as I will be "de-privatizing tons of race rendered vids of BMW races, HD Multi View Footage against some other great cars"...And I will try to get some vids of my car on the dyno at Enzo's...Obvioulsy Baseline vs Tuned Charts...and the baseline will be withe DP & BMS Intake (arriving today)....

Group buy on Enzo ECU Tune / Calibration...

Just spoke to Enzo's Partner...After the ECU calibration is perfected and avail for mass market I brought up the concept of discount and/or group buy...The discount mentioned seems to be substantial, and I'm sure the more we get the cheaper the price....Based on what Ive seen, His tune is going to extract more power than any other companies on this forum I've seen...(Not bashing them, I know its a tricky DME in many ways)....But for the speed guys that need the most power, ENZO's going to be your only choice, the funny thing is he seems to do it without eliminating any of the great engineering BMW uses to detect PRE-detonation...

Now, some may know this, but this was new to me. The DME in our cars is under the intake Manifold...If your a good to great auto tech obv this is of no concern, but for the average guy/gal this derives an issue...E P has eliminated the problem by setting up an international network of approved shops to remove/install the DME, next day or 2nd day air will be avail and turn around is 24-48hrs TOPS., (which I THINK is included. So basically 3-5 days for a REAL TUNE, as opposed to tricking a few VITAL sensors (which sometimes involves using current or voltage ranges well outside of stock and trying to have dozens (or more) sensors and control units function properly...JB4 for logging, switching MAPS etc...great product...Using it to "tune" a car. Well, lets just say I don't consider that a tune personally.

Better, Safer, cheaper...hmmmm?

But if your about to tune or go JB4 your M2, wait about a week. The perfect stackable bench tune/jb4 mix should be where he wants it shortly....
