Just what I've been waiting for! Nice to see him driving it down the back roads, shame he didn't comment on the ride quality. Hopefully a longer version will be published!
Interesting that it was a 15 registered vehicle... |

More like tease, was hoping he would Stig the crap out of it, with a big smile on his face. He did seem to like it though...

So it's a toss up between the Ford Focus RS and the M2 but he's not going to tell us anymore .
A pretty pointless remark to make if he won't expand on this and hardly "in depth "...perhaps he doesn't want to upset the status quo by advising to get the RS and save 10K |

I took that mark to read that there is so little in it, choose what you prefer! I'm happy to pay the premium for the M2, it seems more special. Despite the backlog for RS delivery, there will be quite a few about. This is no bad thing, but it's nice to have something different.
I see plenty of the old Focus RS' by me, I only see 1M's at car meets. Will no doubt be similar with the M2. Hopefully the full EVO car review isn't too far away |

Fan Boi much? Ford has surpassed BMW from an enthusiast perspective imo. The Focus RS and GT 350 offer incredible performance for your money.

A true enthusiast will see the value other manufacturers bring, not just the one he/she owns. Competition is always great for the consumer. Ford has come a long way from 10 years ago. While as much as I love BMW, I cant say the same for BMW.

For me it's a simple choice. Technically both cars are amazing but styling wise the RS is chavy and boy racerish in appearance. The M2 however is both restrained and aggressive - more classy, more sophisticated.

I'm not sure how they are handling it across the pond where you are, but here in the US, the M2 isn't limited production run like the 1M was. The first year will be low production, but they're ramping up as we head towards the LCI.

You probably shouldn't speak until there is volume present. If anything , you should learn from the 1M rollout that when shortages and " limited " availability happened in Europe for the 1M, that same thing later happened to the US market which got delivers after other world markets. Lots of US enthusiasts ASSUMED the US would get more 1M than Europe because of the way that M models are most popular in the US.. And they were wrong. So.. Now that there are shortages and limited availability in Europe for the M2 , if you want to be so bold and declare that M2 will be plentiful in the US you just go right ahead. Just understand your comments fly in the face of precedent and you might end up with egg on your face. |

And I'm speaking about my home market - the M2 here is a limited car, limited by available production volume maybe, but limited regardless. 2 year wait for a car = limited model to me.
There is a 12 month wait for a FRS over here, but there will still be way more than the m2 because of how many they are delivering each year, and because it is the same price as most hot hatches over here (£30k). |
