Auto Zeitung first report on BMW M2 - laps Hockenheim in 1:13.2 min
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com first results: Weight: 1520 kg 0-100 kph: 4,2 s 0-200 kph: 14,9 s Braking (c/w): 34,5 / 33,6 m Fuel Consumption: 12,8 L/100 km Laptime Hockenheim Short: 1.13,2 min (M4 : 1.12,8 min - M3 f80 :1.13,1) Verdict: the car got the best possible rating. "A great engine and a racing-like set-up. Furthermore, the M2 is a lot of fun to drive, also in everyday situations." I really hope that the weight was with full fuel tank but still I am not sure.. Really promising...

Is it not Auto Motor und Sport that does their Supertests on the Hockenheim Short.

Ah, it is in the new issue of Auto Zeitung which will be released on March 9, 2016 (tomorrow). Apparently the tester was Horst von Sauma, the Supertest driver of fame from SportAuto!

I did. The text is very sparse (barely a page, and most of that regular stats listing), but very positive. Tested was the DKG (or DCT) version of the M2.
The first post already contains everything that is really memorable about this test. In particular the very nice Hockenheim time (almost a full second faster than the 1:14.1 of the 1M in SportAuto with the same driver), and the surprisingly fast 0-200 km/h acceleration. It is unfortunately not clear if the weight of 1520kg was actually measured. It is probably just the BMW value for EU weight of DKG version (1595kg) minus the 75kg of driver/luggage. |

In the Autozeitung comparison, the show "leergewicht" of the M2 is 1520Kg. Leergewicht mean "empty weight".... but I don't know if they include any gas or oil in the weight. |
