Angry No Deliveries Before 16th Of April - I Am #^$%&@#$%&@#%

NO DELIVERIES BEFORE 16TH OF APRIL

I just heard from my dealer that my M2 is going to standstill on a Austrian parking lot for TWO MONTHS, because some German pancake at BMW HQ has decided that they are no deliveries before the 16th of April.

It is there since a week now standing there in the snow and BMW HQ is not willing to ship my car to me because the official delivery date is the 16th of April. I am not accepting this and I will not have my car standing on a parking lot for two months in crap weather before it is being shipped to my dealer and handed over to me.

Sorry to say, but that was known as a point of fact since quite some time.

So it's a WIN-WIN situation for BMW whatever you do.

I know it sounds harsh but why should you get your car early? When the release date has been know for a while.

I need my car now for all kinds of reasons. If the dealer said that I should have waited until April, I would not have ordered it and bought a 1M.

I just called me dealer and he told him I will cancel my order if the car does not arrive soon. He fucked up big time and I will not have my car parked in the fucking rain and snow for two months!

If that would be such a hard date, then I would have killed my order weeks ago and bought something else already instead.

Everyone here told you this would be the case...
BMW hasn't screwed up anything. You have a HEA car ordered (even it if is marked as customer sold) so I would have been more surprised if it WAS delivered ahead of time.

This is partly why I never cared for being at the top of the list. At least in the USA, the EPA regulations would have fucked over any chances of receiving the car earlier much earlier than others. So I am perfectly fine at #10 where I am.

Either way, best of luck to you man. Sorry for the rude awakening.

Two dealers here promised me early deliveries. If they would not have done that then I would not have ordered a M2, but bought a 1M.

I am not gonna sign a sales contract based on wrong information... I do not care if the dealer BMW HQ or the dealer fucked up. There is a BMW logo on the building that is destined to hand over my car.

Time for them to come up with a fix asap, I am not gonna wait for my car until the 16th of April! The problem is that if it is delivered on that date, I will not have the chance to drive it until June or later due to all kinds of commitments. And I am not gonna be without a car for 6 months.

It is not an easy; "oh it is later kind of story and you knew before". There is more related to it then simply it being later. I have my whole freaking schedule depending on having a car right now. If the dealer would have said, 16th of April delivery, I would have said fine no problem I will buy a 1M in the meantime and get a M2 at a later date or have it delivered after the summer swapping it for the 1M.

I'm pretty sure you can get your money back, OP. At this point, someone will most likely pay a premium to have that car sitting in the lot and they won't have a problem off-handing it.

Well I think its a pretty simple choice then. If you can cancel then go ahead. They won't have any problems finding another buyer after the reviews yesterday.

Surely 16th April is known. The main issue is that you know your is built unfortunately from enthusiastically tracking.

Pretend you don't know, or that its not built till a week before. Whatever gets you to collecting a perfectly 100% prepped and new M2 on 16/4/16?

OK EDIT I've read your other post about the dealer promises, that's a bit naff, cant see how they could uphold that promise though personally?

Just wondering who do you think you're hurting by cancelling?! After these stellar reviews, he can EASILY find another buyer in your slot, and at a premium! WTF...

I didn't even know you could get the F10 in a manual.

First off, like was said before me, they probably won't have any issue letting you out of the deal-especially if they are now getting lots of grief from you. The line up of buyers for this car is long.

Secondly, I would have put more trust in what I read on these forums vs what dealers were telling you. Regardless, red flags should have gone up considering dealer info was so contradictory to what's been said in these forums.

The car may be sitting in snow and rain but more importantly, it's not like it's being driven around collecting salt etc...

Sorry for your situation...have you enquired about a loaner to tie you over?
