AutoCar article here http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/ne...tudio-pictures about the Launch stateside. It mentions available with decals as options? Anyone else heard this? Wonder if they'd be the M style VGT stripes.

Possibly rubbishy as Autocar can be hit and miss IMO.

Decals look so classless.

Disagree there is some new interesting UK stuff here now:

Although how trustworthy a source I am unsure.

You can disagree all you like but that info is not new, it was made up by them when they posted the original article! (I read it in Oct)

BMW UK have never stated a number.. The official line from them is just that it's _not_ limited.

In the UK we know that some dealers are getting a bigger allocation for 2016 than others, dealers that managed to get their orders in first have the earliest delivery dates.

They do not know what 2017 allocation looks like right now, but unless BMW decide to build more M2's instead of other models at Leipzig, an educated guess would say pretty similar to 2016 allocation.

Here is a link to the original article from Oct 14:

https://web.archive.org/web/20151014...tudio-pictures

As you can see there is no mention of 2000 M2's for the UK or that 600 have already been sold.

I'm not saying those figures are correct or accurate and agree there is no official line but they can't be pulling those figures out of complete thin air...

I do however agree with you that 2017 allocations will be similar to 2016. The 2000 figure would add up with the 500 a year figure also banded about.

Gotta say I thought it was a new article with some new stuff in it too, hence why I posted. I know they do recycle things very frequently too.
