Am I the only one hoping for cloth seats on the M2?

I really like the look of the "Carbonstructure" seats in the M3 and would love to have something similar in the M2.

No, I'm hoping for cloth alcantara like the base M-Sport seats in Europe or E46 ZHP. Even the the ones you have pictured. I hope they offer that instead of vinyl.

I'd kill for cloth seats. Cheaper, much more comfortable and I wouldn't have to order heated seats.

My ideal setup for the M2 would be cloth or alcantara manual seats. If they throw in some contrast stitching like for the 1M, I wouldn't complain either.

I'd like to at least have the option for the carbon-structure cloth in the M3. Alcantara like the old STi's would be awesome.

Cloth actually holds up way better than Alcantara, especially cloth with the deep weave they use in the M cars and not the velour they used in older cars. Holds you in place. But leather smells better over time.

Hmm slightly tilted survey wording

Where is the "Cloth - I like sitting in itchy seats and having and stains remain there woven into the seat facings forever"

I voted leather as it smells nice and cleans up like new. Granted it can be hot/cold but that's do able for me.

Cloth is OK...but keep the LEATHER option. Love the feel and no stains. You can weave it any way you wish, and put it in any M3 you wish, and it still appears "less" than it could not should----IMHO.

Optional...optional...to those who are listening over there.

DCT or Manual...Leather or cloth...we are fully capable of choosing and will gladly to tick the boxes with delight either way.

Cloth it up like the GT350. We as enthusiasts are gunning for the sporting essentials here. "Less is more" is what the M2 should be all about.

cloth seats would rule. Not a huge fan of the F80 cloth but have only seen in pictures.

With that said not holding my breath based on that 1M coupe have normal sport leather seats and not proper M seats.

I'd love to see Alcantera, not just cloth.
I don't get why Europe gets it and we don't. And don't start the whole "it's too expensive do federalize" bullshit. BMW has enough dough to afford it, across the entire line up

Drop a chocolate crumb there, melts. Bad.

Leather same. Wipe away.

I know, not always possible with 8yo and 10yo kids though Play a lot of football and coach too and mud is the same issue. I can see the virtues of cloth, just its not for me, I have to be practical with any car and not treat it as a trophy. Options are good.

My kid spilled a few drop of milk on leather...never came out!!!

Anyway, that's not the point. Cloth inserts are cooler, warmer and grippier when driving hard or autocrossing. here in SoCal, I always had a sweaty back with the 1M leather seats. Much happier with the missus' plaid GTI cloth seats or the ZHP's cloth inserts with alcantara bolsters.

Yes, leather looks nice if you are into looking "premium" or luxurious or even because it does hold up better in some cases BUT for those of us that are into performance, cloth or alcantara rules. When was the last time you saw a real race car with leather seats?

Here is the euro M235i base no-cost M-sport interior....no matter how many times I post this, I'm still shocked BMW didn't offer this to US market but again, most US buyers are into luxury not performance.

To make it more confusing... In the UK that interior is an option in the 1 and 2 series M sport, except the M135i and 235i which have only leather and no cloth option.

We don't even get the offer of cloth seats on F80/82.

I've sat in those seats and they are so perfect. Such a shame that we can't get them in the US. Was talking to another car enthusiast this morning and he said same thing about cloth seats. He also liked wagons and hatchbacks, but we are in such a minority when it comes to that. At least BMW offers those awesome performance seats, although they cost a fortune.

I've seen this photos before. BMW should step up and offer these in the U.S.
