The key question for me is what size rubber it will wear. For me, the key shortcoming of the M235i is the small contact patch vs. the car's weight. 255/275 front/rear would be a nice starting point.

I'm going to go ahead and guess that the M2 will wear the same shoes as the M3/4.

It would be nice if the M2 came with visually bespoked wheels, albeit the same overall size as the M3/4.

I say that, but it's probably only a matter of time before I consider going aftermarket. Having said that though, BMW did a really good job with the weight of the wheels for once. It'll be hard to find something lighter without spending a ton of $

It better not be a pick-your-favorite-shade-of-grey as many of bmw's current models are. I'm not a big fan of any of the current M3/4 colors, they're ok, but I feel there are older colors that are more interesting.

You can hardly call this a proper render. Not sure what's everyone talking about, but maybe I'm missing something?
It's the basic m235i body with normal mperformance parts that got quad tips and flared arches.

Not unlikely that somewhere in a coffee room in Germany, M2 developers are having a good laugh and shaking their heads in disbelief.

My 235 definitely suffers from too large a gap there - so hopefully the suspension geometry and ride height are configured in a way that's great for handling AND the car's overall stance.

You're probably right - but there's hope - the 1M looked great to me, in stock form - albeit the wheels were 19s.

Iirc: Pretty sure the 1M was lowered in the front compared to a stock 135i, that could happen again... that being said there's still a decent gap up front on a stock 1M.

I was just saying that there's potential there for BMW to "get it right" - and I am hoping that's the case.

Its a nice render but I dont think that will be the final front fascia. Its basically a carry over M235i in that pic and the M cars are trapezoid.
