▀▄ eas | The M2 Showroom - an ongoing journal

Like our popular thread on F80post and M5/M6 post, I thought I'd start a running thread to showcase all the M2s that we've seen come through our shop.

To start off, This Long Beach Blue receives the BMW M performance exhaust system with Bluetooth controlled valves.

Modifications:
BMW M performance exhaust system with Bluetooth controlled valves.

Awesome! I need to get a MPE exhaust when my M2 arrives.

Does BMW's instructions say where to cut the original exhaust?

It's amazing how much of a difference just painted reflectors and performance grilles make on this car

About how far down does the MPE go until you have to cut the stock exhaust? Just curious as to how close to a full catback it is. Thanks!

The MPE does not need the CF diffuser IMHO. You just convinced me!

This is mine two days ago, and I agree. I'm not a detailer thank God lol. Only getting rid of dead insects and cleaning the wheels once a week max.
2.5 months old, never got a real washing, only by rain, and it rains a lot overhere

MPE and Ti tips.

Cheers

Unfortunately not, best way to do it is mock up the M Performance exhaust with the OEM exhaust.

Isn't it a mark on the stock exhaust?
Says so in the instructions I read a while back.

I agree to that !

That was a concern for me as the MPE only comes with the CF tips in Canada. Personnaly I would have prefered the titanium ones. I was wondering what it would look like with the stock diffuser and I like it. Of course it would look even better with the CF diffuser but this one is very expensive, too expensive in fact. I'll wait for aftermarket copies of the M Performance CF diffuser to decide what to buy, if I buy one.

Benzima, will you take a chance and replace the ugly front bumper amber reflectors by iND painted reflectors ? I'm still wondering if I'll take that chance knowing that it is illegal to do that in Quebec.

I just read the instructions from BMW. There seems to be a centerpunch point where to cut. Not sure if it's a obvious or not.

Cut the exhaust system at the centre silencer service separation point (centrepunch point) using suitable tools and then remove the tailpipe.

Didn't have instructions with the system for this install, most times we can make the cut line by lining it up with the stock system. we've you've done a bunch of systems before, the steps are pretty routine.

Install is similar to previous BMW models. Don't recall seeing any obvious marks, but that would make things much easier next time.

No.
1- shipping cost too expensive
2- does not add any performance gains
3- does not add any drivevability enhancement
