I know I'm in the minority, but man this car looks amazing in black with the normal chrome-trimmed grills. You get that contrast all the way across the front, first the contrast from the clear headlights against the black, to the chrome on the grills against the black, side to side. Really brings out the curves and details. Makes me wish I didn't live in Arizona, because I think this car looks so damned good in black.

(you're a lucky man getting to drive that car around Switzerland. We were there in May, drove from Lucerne over to Lake Geneva, down to Annecy. To call it beautiful is an understatement).

Thanks for the nice comments, the car configuration is indeed a bit different than usual.

It took me 6 months to chose the color, first I got in love with blue, then grey and finally my wife decided me to take black. Together with the rims (also dark) it actually gives an great contrast to the chrome parts which I find both "classy" and aggressive.

For the little story, I never found such configuration pictures on the net (always with smoked windows) and BMW switzerland said it was the first like this, so it was a bit risky and the more I look at it the more I like it.

I would say that a bit of colorado sand on a black M2 should give it the nice touch of rally car. I would not mind.

I will try to post better pictures...

for some reason, my BSM looks the best on a cloudy day or around sunrise/sunset or in the shade. Pretty much anywhere without direct sunlight.
