That's why we have Blizzaks...so you don't have to drive a sloppy, heavy AWD Audi!
Have them already - useless where I am

Also compare it to an M3, to get leather you need to get exec package which i think was around $3k, i know not the same leather, but you get leather std. Also get the same 19" wheels std which cost $1200 extra for the M3/4. You also get enhanced usb/bluetooth std which cost around $500 extra on the M3/4. Compared M2 pricing to a 2015 M3/4 where HK speakers were an extra $900 which again, you get std. For them exec pack was around $3500 and needed to get it to get comfort access, which once again you get std.

If you're bitching about $1250 for a package of useful options that gets you the fully loaded car, you can't afford this car.
Wow. So disrespectful. Not that it matters, but I "can afford this car" and then some. I live in FL. I don't need a heated steering wheel and I don't want the other items in the package. I am not "bitching". I simply don't want to pay for something that I am not going to use. Have a great night.
All right, i see i hit a nerve with my last comment about affordability. I apologize for that, but at least own up to the fact that you are by definition, bitching about the price. By your logic, you should be angry at the base price of the car being so high since the price of a heater and heated seats are built in. Im sure there are a dozen other features built in that you will never use yet you arent complaining about that.
For you it may not be worth the money, but for most others out there, this is a great deal for a package. If BMW started doing things in the US like you wanted, they would end up nickel and diming us for every single option, making it cost more for the same car, like porsche does. I've seen a few french people on this forum wishing they could have packages like us cause it makes things cheaper overall.

Through the dealer. They should be able to order it once it becomes available.

Agreed. Executive package is ridiculous.

Plus I don't see how the word executive goes with either an M2/3/4....M5/6 for sure but the lower end ones? nah.

why would you only consider a lease with interest rates at 1.9 percent ??
Less risk, lower payments, less upfront

I understand the typical reasons for a lease.

However, this will be a car that is at the least going to carry a higher than average resale value... You aren't risking much money on any M car as they usually retain excellent value over the first 4 years.

Prospective buyers should also expect
It's very likely that lease rates will not be favorable for the M2 as they are for the M3/M4.

One shouldn't make their purchase determination solely upon lease options when interest rates for auto loans are so low.

This is great! I personally could even do without some of the standard stuff(heated power seats, nav, enhanced USB and Bluetooth, alarm) but I'm certainly not complaining.

Loving the standard equipment, HK sound, comfort access, power seats (love the lumbar) and even navigation (prefer the screen over non navigation). The base options make this barely more expensive than an M235i if you put in the locking rear diff. My only options will be metallic paint and DCT (still on the fence versus manual).

I'm rolling due to the fact that you would have to order an M-Performance exhaust as an option on a BMW M-vehicle. Like... what kind of exhaust comes standard on the M2?? A basic BMW exhaust??? I will forever love and hate BMW.

Gotta give them this tho... never would've thought I would see so many options standard on a BMW. Thumbs up on that one, BMW

Without a carbon fibre roof, a bit of the soul of an M seems missing.

They're clearly saving it for a CSL version. I hope the LCI will have it but I highly doubt it. Definitely would increase the price tag which blows. I believe the 1M had it as an option for a higher price tag.

I agree. Maybe it's because I've been cross-shopping Porsches, but the M2 options seem very fairly priced.

I dunno its ok looking, its how the 235 should have come looking. There is no Recaro seat option, which would make the car more special.

I'd have to see the car in person but after seeing the 235 DCT or automatic not sure, it had paddles and driving it, it was OK. It did not feel any faster then my current car. However it had much nicer turn-in and reminded me of a Porsche. My money belongs to the M3.

Track car GTR.

Seriously, people bitching over a $1200 option containing "useless" options. Guess what, if they took those options out for you then 5 other people would bitch they are in another package and it's costing them more. You can't please everyone. Just be happy you aren't paying $3500+ for the executive like on the M3/4.

Anyways, at that price! If I didn't get an M3 back in September I would be all over this.

This is great news. Can't wait to do a military purchase for this, even if I don't get THAT much off of the car. Looking forward to doing an ED for 3-5 months!!! WOOOO SO STOKED!!!

I'd gladly skip the standard Dynamic Cruise Control for standard PDC and a rear camera.

I'm very excited about this car!

It is priced right and will be that much more of a blast once you add some M Performance bits

Anxiously awaiting the prices for the M Performance parts...
