M2 Mountain Run - FBO & Pure Stage 2 - video

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
From the beginning I planned to track my car. After recently wrapping up all my planned mods, it was time to make sure my M2 was track worthy before going to any events. Highway 84 is probably the best/longest driving road in my area so I decided Superbowl morning to head out and see if anything would break

The roads were a little wet, there were cyclists out, and it wasn't an actual track... so I didn't push it too hard. Overall car held up great and I'm very excited about the upcoming track days

I decided to make a short video of my completed car and drive to also test out my track day audio/video setup.

On the power side of my build here is a thread I made in the Engine / Drivetrain / Exhaust / Bolt-ons / Tuning section
http://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1344711

My complete mod list:
Bootmod3 93oct tune
Eventuri intake
Pure inlet
Wagner evo 2 comp fmic
FTP hard pipes
ER catless downpipe, stock catback
Pure stage 2 turbo
DV+
M Performance coilovers
Endless mx72 pads, rf650 fluid, & stainless lines
265/35/19 & 285/35/19 PSS

looks like you are having fun with this beast. Do you think the PSS will stand up to the heat on track? Might be good to upgrade? MPSC2 or Rcomp

Thank you amazing what TrackAddict, RaceRender, and a good OBD reader can do.

I'll find out lol. Really wanted the 300 treadwear but I have a feeling I'll end up with a more track oriented tire on my next set. Would be awesome if I could log tire temps... the data is already there on the car, hmmmm

Thanks hardest part was actually syncing the data with the video

They do fit, VERY slight rear wheel rub on the interior fender liner under full compression. BUT it was so slight that I figured after 1k+ miles enough tire would be gone it wouldn't be a real issue. Seriously, after that drive I have yet to have another rubbing experience.

I wonder if I went down 10mm in the rears from what you did if I could prevent the rubbing. I'm seriously going to consider this whenever the PS4S tires are available. Now to think of a way to convince my wife...

You will be 100% fine with 275s on the back. For me I wanted 20mm wider (10mm both in and out). Fitment looks awesome without spacers.

As for your wife, you were able to pull of the Dinan stage 4 kit... tires to maximize your build should be easy

Lol thanks
Clear bra on about 3/5 of the car, ceramic pro on everything, and obviously I washed the car with mini detail skills before the shoot/drive.

Great video, and great car. My only concern is the early shifts; just over 5000 RPM. When I press my pedal to the floor and shift at the red line, my Akrapovic exhaust makes the most beautiful sound. So next time, let your beautiful and special car sing! Great video nevertheless.
