I don't recall any review I've seen complaining about the "throttle mapping" incessantly, or at all, like this guy does...He's obviously pissed he's not allowed to take it to the track

I don't like the factory throttle calibration on most cars. Cable is best. You can fix the throttle by wire with a tune though.

I think that was the worst review I've watched. Boring, monotone, and making assessments without any data or experience to back them up... the car is sprung too much for the street but I'm 'sure its amazing on the track'.... well thats what this car tries to strike a balance between man - seriously go drive the M235i if it's better for getting groceries. no idea what the point of your review was.

Honestly, I couldn't watch it past about the 30 second mark. Once he started showing video clips from other reviews, I lost interest.

What a bullshitter this guy is. He has a camera mounted to a window. The camera isn't juggling around and neither is he. The suspension is clearly just fine for road use. Honestly, so much whining because BMW wouldn't let him track the car? Wow.

Didn't like the review, but I agree on the throttle mapping.

It all started with torqueless cars. To make a car "feel" faster, they do an active map. About one inch into your pedal is essentially full throttle to the engine. It makes it feel fast, but little do most people know, it's the same thing as flooring it.

It drives me insane. It makes it hard to drive it smoothly in normal driving. (Especially 6spd) Just as boost peaks and causes an acceleration surge, you lift to shift. It makes it very jerky. It's hard to give it any middle amount of throttle becuase you have about an inch of pedal to work with and human feet aren't exactly precision appendages like hands are.

I think the map in comfort is way too long, but only because the pedal throw is super long. If they made the pedal throw half as long, 1:1 mapping like in comfort would be perfect. Try feathering the throttle in sport plus mid corner on the grip threshold. It's hard to modulate a trigger

I'm the opposite and can perform normal driving the smoothest in Sport+ mode with MT. Comfort mode is harder to drive for me, another reason why i only drive in Sport+
