July should be 2017 since that's SOP for MY17 unless you apparently got a special 2016 built in July as some people are reporting?

Anyway, Week 31 is 01AUG. BMW's internal system shows 2016/08/31.

Interesting Apple iCal and Outlook both showed Week 32 as 2016/08/01.

The page you referenced ignores January 1 and 2 as being Week 1.

So either way +/- a week.

As long as your NA Code = 172R or AG Code = 1H93

Yeah. Based on BMW's system showing August for week 31, I'm guessing they follow whatever standard all those calendar sites do.

Although, with car play support, BMW should get its shit in gear and follow the iCal .

EDIT: Yeah my code's 172R for a 2017.

I missed the part about BMW's system. The phone recognizes my production number but My BMW doesn't, yet.

I'm sure Apple has the final say as to who they will and won't support. You know Google would most definitely allow their app the function within CarPlay because they know most people would use their service over Apple's.

That's a good point! Huummmm...

EDIT:

I'm not familiar w/the finer details have you read miamiten's posts in this thread, http://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...1271983&page=2 specifically #36. Does the iDrive knob in the center console act as a touchpad?

Looks like me too..I was told that I was number 1 at my dealership in Maine after another forum member here was able to pick up an HEA car.

They only received one allocation and apparently went to a person doing ED - to their credit they said that this person put a deposit down a month before I did...I just hope that's true. Another day...

Right! This thread is about allocations for July / August / September. Hang in there, man. I was number 1 at my dealer for five months and thought they were never going to get an allocation. Came through this afternoon. I've got myself a production number!!! Week 34, mid-August. The point is that good things come to those who wait. Other posts above indicate that some dealers were slower to contact customers. Fingers crossed for you.

apple just certifies the app as secure and safe. Google just has to develop it and submit to apple, it would go through no problem

Yet. Plenty of third party apps already there, and more developers (incl. Google) will make CarPlay-enabled apps when the cars are available. There needs to be an addressable market first. Just a matter of time.

I have a September allocation and my dealer cannot select Apple Car play to add to my order. Does it require the executive package option or something?

I believe they cannot select it in their build configurator yet.

Literally the instant I was reading your post, I got "the email". No new allocations. Maybe BMW isn't done?

Ok thanks, that is good to know. I'll just spec wheel locks and carplay.

On the 7 series for wireless charge you place in your center glovebox in a sleeve. If that is the case on the 2 series I'd never use that so probably will skip the Exec package.

Well my sales guy claimed no new allocations but they have one M2 allocated with a Sept build date. So in my mind, that's gotta be a new allocation, right?

The german car gods obviously want me to do ED during Oktoberfest.

Guys
Why are we talking about tire size here - is there some mystery thread I don't know about? I talked to the 1/2 series product planner at the Chicago auto show and he said the tire size on the M2 is/was very specific. Same wheels as the M3, just slightly narrower tires. Sounds like they went to a lot of trouble to figure that out.

Same with the sunroof - he told me, "you won't be getting one in America."

and...
I don't think anyone knows about iDrive 5.0 - but it sounds like just about every BMW is getting it, so not sure why the M2 would not. Either way, until we see something official from BMW, we shouldn't go there - and official is not your dealer being told something

and...
yes, there are September builds out there, mine is week 36.

and...
yes, car play can not be added to the order at this time. Nobody is sure why.

and...
I still want a sunroof

and..
now I'm considering BSM... help me.
