BMW M2 steering wheel with race display- help needed

Hi there ,

I have a ordered the steering with race display ( part number: 32302413015 ) . I wanted to install it with dealer, however, they have refused to install it . They are telling me to provide a copy of the original invoice . The problem I have bought it 4 months ago from racing parts website but he bought from the dealer in US . I have contacted him and he can't find the invoice .

Kindly could anyone send me a copy of his invoice from BMW for this part number to finish from this nightmare?! Please help me if you can and send any copy to my email basel.alibrahim@outlook.com

P.S I live in the other part of the world ;p .

Thank you

Provide a copy of your VIN registration and write a letter that you bought the wheel on the web and due to travels you are without invoice.

Good luck !

Thank you . But where should I write it to ? Do you mean for the dealer or the shop ? The dealer is not accepting anything unless I provide the invoice

I also don't see why the dealer needs any proof as long as it's an OEM part. You could have easily gotten a used one from a friend for all they know.

You could also install it yourself, no coding necessary.

I know . But they are telling me that they need it as an evidence that it is OEM not replica . Also, they informed me that if I installed it outside the dealer or installing it without the invoice they will void my warranty.

The is B.S . I have spent a lot of money and they are arguing in something silly.

I would recommend just installing it yourself. The steering wheel is not a difficult install, and you'd save the hour in cost for labor that they charge you. At that point, at minimum, you're saving $125 easily.

If they can't tell the difference between an OEM part and a knock off, they're the problem. That's kind of like a jeweler not knowing a real Rolex from a knock off.

It doesn't sound like you have a ton of options though.
