M2 LCI tail lights retrofitted on pre-LCI M2

Apparently some Germans managed to get M2 LCI tail lights fitted and coded on the pre-LCI M2. They're quoting €499 for parts, fitting and coding.

I'm in no way related to them. Good to know that it's possible.

499 Euros? thats less than $600 right? Including the taillights? Thats not a bad price.

Im not sure if I like the look of them better than the pre lci though.

Browsing through their website I found out that they also offer Instrument Cluster Retrofits. If they manage to retrofit the new LCI speedo, they are in for some serious business!

So I emailed these guys asking about a set and was told in no uncertain terms they are only available to customer in Germany.

There is no DYI option available and they were not willing to share the coding info, not even for a price, for those of us able to source the parts locally.

Is anyone in Germany willing to be sponsored to have this done? I can reverse engineer the coding from a car that's had it done.

Coding is usually straight forward, just change from bulb to led at the correct places etc. The hardest parts is usually getting the wiring to match/fit.

Major design flaw if you ask me... Tesla really need to up their game on the luxury aspect of the interior, even Hyundai does it better

For now I only got the quote for the retrofit.

Need to figure out a few things before pulling the trigger.

New speedometer typically resets/changes the cars mileage.

Not sure how this will affect warranty, future car service, re-sale etc.
