Quite a quick turn-around. Congrats! I assume those of us over here in the colonies should expect a few more weeks of waiting.

Mine is scheduled to complete production tomorrow 10/26. I'm sure there will be a few days from completion to date it arrives at the port.

You started just a couple days ahead of me. Looks like I should be completing around 10/31. I really wish I was in your slot. My birthday is tomorrow, 10/26. How cool would it be to share a B-Day with my M2!

Have you checked with Genius on where it is in the line? A Genius guy told me that in the last couple days of production it goes to "finish" work like paint, etc., and that Genius can see that a car has progressed to that stage, as opposed to simply being "in production"....

My production is supposed to be finished on Friday, the 28th....

So that is strange. Didn't we compare VINs, and conclude that the last four numbers of your VIN indicated that your car was ahead of mine? My EOP is 10/28, but yours is 10/31. Maybe the VIN numbers don't say what we thought.

In any event, it won't make a lick of difference, since our cars being that close together are likely to be eligible for the same boats in any event...

We did. The 10/31 is just an estimate on my part. I was taking AJurcisin's start date and complete date and extrapolating out a complete date for me based on my start date. He started 5 days before me so i figured I'd finish 5 days after him. That's how I got the 10/31 date.

Doesn't Genius tell you the date when you call? They've told me the same date each call I've made....

Its happening

Details:

Est. Build Week - 43
Went into production - 10/16
Color - LBB
Drivetrain - Non flappy paddle. Stick
Option - Exec, and some M goodies. CF diffuser & Black out kidney grill.
Destination - Initially S.C (Picking up at the performance center for a good cross country break in).
Status - I'm trying not to call every 2 seconds my scheduled pickup is in December. It will be worth the wait and a much needed vacation.

After all these months I cannot believe traction is finally happening. I felt like this moment would never come. Praying that the subframe bolt recall is not going to affect my pickup date

Actually, no. Not for my build. The "start date" changed 3 times for the 3 times I called. it's going to get delivered at some point, no matter if I call or not. So I'm just sitting back and waiting like everyone else. i figure there's enough people out there calling every day. I dont want to be "that" guy. Actually that's not true. I DO want to be that guy. I want to call like every 15 minutes, but I'm forcing myself not to!

I just called Genius for an update and he said there is a possible hold on the car (originally scheduled to complete this Saturday). He told me to email my CA for more info because he didn't have any. Anyone else get this?

When in Dec is your pick up? Was this because you're delivering it to a PDC?

As of this morning my car is waiting for train to go to port. Finished quality check yesterday. They told me it will be about week to week and a half before it gets assigned a boat to ship out. What a waste of a week! The having car before thanksgiving seems to be a real stretch.

Speaking of a waste of a week. My week 42 arrived at the port on 10/20 and, as of today, still has not been assigned to a boat. WTH?

Genius tells me my week 43 car is still on schedule to be finished tomorrow. Entered the assembly line today. Apparently, all component parts (chassis, engine, etc.) body and paint are done, and today was the day to put them all together. Quality check should be tomorrow, and then if it clears that a trip to the port on Monday.

Kind of cool to think that the car is now an actual vehicle, instead of an allocation or even a bunch of parts...

That would drive me crazy! They wouldn't hold out for the week 43s you think would they? or the ones that have been cleared to to go to the port? Maybe since they have a couple going to Ohio they want to send all on one ship? Just spit balling here.

Such a sigh of relief knowing that you ACTUALLY have a fully built car rather than a he said she said and paperwork.

The Genius dude I spoke to today said that I should expect the wait at the port for a ship to be "7-10 days." Seems like you are still in that window, if you believe it....totally frustrating though. This whole deal has not been good for fans of instant automotive gratification like me

I just saw that there are boats from Bremerhaven to Baltimore Nov 1st, 4th and 5th. All three of those days were 12 day voyages. The next date of Nov 7th was a 15 day voyage...I only pray I'm one of the days before that trip.
