Just bought one of these kits. Looks like they're available for the m3 and m4 as well as other non M models as well. Product shipped super fast and arrived as described, highly recommended especially at such a reasonable price.

Nobody posted a link so I will. This is the product page

Does anyone know if this mod voids the manufacturers warranty?

EDIT- Just did the install, takes literally a minute or two. Only thing is, I can't tell a difference?!? In Sport and Sport+ mode I still get that lovely burble/burping when letting of the gas in lower gears. But in Comfort mode, sounds awfully quiet. I think I followed the instructions correctly (ie I started the car up in Sport+ and gave it some revs to open up the valve).

oh well

Same results when I did the install. Is this what is to be expected? I was hoping the exhaust would be a little louder in Comfort. I find myself just putting the car in Sport mode.

Off topic...you're local to Philadelphia? Congrats on getting an M!

the JRC kit is %50 off now. Id grab a set while they're available, can't really go wrong for $15. I didn't know aftermarket parts existed that cheap for these cars! I posted the link a posts up

Had the same question. He told me "our kit will fit on the stock exhaust systems (including the performance exhaust), as well as aftermarket systems as long as they use the factory valve motor." That was about my m3 but I'm sure the same applies

For MPE you need to buy the M3/4 kit with two of the male and female ends as MPE has 2 valves

I installed mine several months back and removed it a month later and threw it away. The flap is normally only closed when in Comfort mode so that's the only time it helps. However it will throw a code and a cel if you leave it in Comfort mode. You have to manually reset the code. I used Carly. Waste of $15.

Really? I mean yes I know it just makes the car louder when in comfort mode but that's the whole point. I've never seen a cel though

I rarely drive my car in comfort and if I accidentally do I get a cel that doesn't reset on its own. I bought the bypass before I was fully aware of what the different modes do without the bypass. Once I learned it really made no sense for me the way I use the car which is normally in sport. I have a dct. Maybe that's why I get the cel and you don't. Anyways, enjoy if what you're looking for is a little extra sound when in comfort. For me, I'll just switch to sport and get the extra sound level and avoid the cel.

This may be a stupid question, but isn't the MPE just a muffler bypass? Therefore wouldn't this theoretically sound the same? I could be way off.

When the car is started it is loud because the wastegate opens to aid cat warm up.

Ask and you shall receive.

Here are part numbers for the items you need to close off the actuator and prevent codes:

Universal socket housing uncoded This is the connector that goes into the exhaust flap actuator to protect it from corrosion. This part number doesn't include the cavity plugs. I'm trying to find a part number for the cavity plugs, but you could use silicon caulking.

Dummy flap actuator This is the dummy plug that is connected to the wiring harness to prevent a code. This connector has a resistor across pins 1 & 3.

Here is info from TIS on the exhaust flap:
