What level of tint should I go for?

I'm trying to go do LBB with c/f accents (mirrors, spoiler, etc). I'm taking her in for break in service and a free tint from the dealership on Wednesday, and would like some advice on how dark to get the windows tinted to work with that premise - what percentage tint should I get?

(Yes, I know it's a subjective / artsy question - I've just never done my own tint before!)

It's a compromise between aesthetics and visibility.

In my personal experience:
- 10% looks amazing, but is dangerously dark at night and low light days
- 35% still looks good, and visibility at night is acceptable

Also remember that your state has laws regarding this. Maybe target their numbers to be safe and alleviate yourself of the burden of decision.

I'm happy with 40%...not gangsta, just nice and dark....looks great with my BSM paint and IND Black Chrome grills and emblems...a little bit of an issue at night in rear window as it causes some refraction of the headlamps behind you, but really minimal...
