2009 997 manual. don't know what else to say, there is nothing really like a pcar, the steering and exhaust note are unique. M2 has a trunk so there is that. analog feel to everything, I like it. soso gas mileage. another staggered set so like the M2 I am pretty anal with tire pressure. also run pss on it

My M2 is still on order, but I have a 2015 Carrera S with the 7-speed manual, Sport Design package and some of the performance goodies. Before that, I had a 2014 Cayman S. Both of these are/were a true blast to drive. You really feel connected to the car.

Am not a porsche guy, but am sure it's the ultimate dream car for most german car enthusiast. I know couple of Porsche fanatic and NO other sport car but porsche entered their garage for 20 years! So my question is:

What's the reason you bought an M2 ?

I am waiting for my 2018 M2 allocation. Currently drive a 2015 GT3 with carbon buckets and a 9+ year old 335XI coupe. I've owned a couple E46 M2s. On my second GT3 and waiting for the 2018 allocation. Previously owned a 997.1 turbo and a few 997S varieties. For me, and many like me, once you go GT3 or real GT Porsche, you don't back unless you're adding to the stable. I feel as though Im driving a truck after driving my GT3. Porsche really nails it, imo. I am really excited about the M2 and feel BMW has lost their way a little in recent years. I hope the M2 is indication of they are returning to their roots.

I have a GT3.2 scheduled for delivery in July so I have put my GT3.1 on the market. I did not want to drive it in the meantime in case I put it into a wall. You just never know your luck.

So I wanted something for the interim that I could still take to the track and have some fun so I bought it as a fill-in car. But, it is proving to be more fun than I expected. It's a great city car. Better than a 991 IHMO for bombing city streets.

Indeed, since I got it 2 weeks ago, I have hardly driven any of my other cars. Novelty factor hasn't worn off yet I guess.

And BTW, yesterday I took a blast out to Dusseldorf to visit Classic Remise. Hit the speed limiter at 250kph!

That is great to hear. I am looking forward to the M2.

I assume PDK-S for the .2?

Not a bit, but I have other more practical cars. My favorite at the moment for puttering around town is a mint 1992 Volvo 240 DL sedan with 85k miles. The track is where it is at and the GT4 is perfect for that - the M2 is just a hooligan load of fun. Love them both, just each has its own personality.
