I was playing around with the VIN decoder. I don't know how accurate it is, but it looks like that there is about 55 M2s built in 10 days. As of October 9, the first car with build date showing 0001-01-01 (not built yet) is VD36072, and the last one built is VD36071. Knowing all this, I think I found my car, VIN VD362XX, which all specs matches my build. That would logically mean that it is status 112 now. Will call my dealer this week

Randomly. I knew from week 36-38 threads that M2s had vins ending by VD36XXX so I started from there.

go here:
http://www.bimmer.work/

If you enter VD36087, you get a production date (today). If you enter VD36088, there is no production date, the car is still in production.

So, yesterday, the last built car was VD36071, and 24 hours later, (now) the last built one is VD36087. They built 16 M2s today. I need to redo my math to find mine I guess. I wonder if the plant is making cars 7 days/week...

I beleive that this is not true. Over the last 2 saturdays, they built 4-5 cars /day. I dont remember the VINs, but literally check every day since about 2 weeks ago. On normal week days they build around 15 cars/day.

I actually saw no production showing last week 14th/15th (Sat/Sun)..
Maybe it was just for that last week...

VD36143-VD36145 (3 cars) were built last Saturday. (October 14)

Today was a busy one, 26 cars were built, VD36161-VD36186.

You don't have a VIN yet?

Scheduled cars are up to VIN VD36339 now. Week 44 ends on nov. 3, so with tomorrow, that is 13 days until our cars are built, at the latest, so 13x 15 per day = 195 + 2 Saturdays (10 cars) = 205. 205+186= 391. 391-339= 52. We should get our VINs on Monday at the latest.

I have not receive the VIN.
I have been bothering my SA so much recently, and kinda afraid to ask him again. I will ask him on Monday next week.

Btw, I was expecting (since I did not include Saturday production counts) week 44 production should be around at VD36270~290 and found one car matching my options at VIN ending 279.

According to your calculation, I think I estimated my number wrong... maybe I will have to wait until someone at week 44 (or close) to get their VIN and see my possible VIN search around there haha.

We will see what we get pretty soon..

Recent months are just bigggg pain just seating and waiting.
I ended up cancelling my vehicle purchase once that should have been delivered early September as my SA did not include "adaptive LED" because he thought it was just standard as MY17. (In Canada, light package (inlcuding adaptive headlight) is standard)
So I had a very hard decision to make as I really like those hexagonal new headlights, and ended up being squized into one of the production allocation that my dealer had, which was initially week 45 and now he said it became 44.

Thanks all.

Haha, I'm on the same boat, I'm also afraid to call to ask again...

279 will be a week 43 build for sure, not 44.

I think we have similar builds, mine is LBB, MT, phone package. I did not get the adaptive headlights. The base ones are supposed to be exagonal also, just not moving right/left with the steering wheel (adaptive).

On another note, I did not order it with the MPE as I thought that it was too expensive. Good decision, as I found a used one for really cheap, it's coming from a local M2 that was flooded last spring (poor car )

Not to burst anyone's bubble, but given the very few configurations this car could be ordered is finding one "like yours" really reliable? Especially LBB.

Haha Guess we have similar build according to you.
I just added up; LBB/ Apple Carplay/ Speed Limit Info/ Adaptive LED Headlights/ MPE with Carbon Fiber Tips... No sunroof, 6MT
I will be having all exterior MP parts including all winglets front and side/ side mirrors/ spoiler/ disffusor/ also sports pedal shifts (aluminium).
Planning to enjoy the stock suspension and looking forward to having either MP coil over or KW V3 (also thinking about Dinan S2 package... if my budget allows haha).

I did ended up being asking my dealer again about my VIN but he said that it is not issued yet and I gave him my guess and he was suprised how I figured it out. And then I gave him a little story about VIN decoder and all that stuff.

Yesterday, they built 23 cars (which is lager number than average 15) starting from VD36187 to VD36209. I guess I will keep it monitored until my VIN gets to the production.

Obviously I cannot guarantee. There will be many M2s with exact same build as mine. I am just trying to guess with calculation of VIN range by considering mine to be at week 44. I could be wrong or right and will be able to know once my SA gives me the true VIN.
