How much is someone typically paying for an install? How tough of a job is it?

This has my interest for sure.

Maybe a 1 or 2 on a scale of 5. Way easier then installing a set of N54 downpipes on a 135! If you have some basic tools and the ability to figure simple things out it is very doable. I did mine on a lift, but a set of ramps would work in a pinch. No need to drop the exhaust as some DIY state. You need a 22 mm box wrench to swap the 02 sensors, other tools are pretty standard. Read a few how to's on how to do it to familiarize yourself with the procedure, take a deep breath and go for it. First timer may need an hour and a half, 44 minutes if you have done one before. Good luck with it! You will love it!

Added 200cpi Fabspeed DP to my MPE’d M2.

The added howl beyond 3.5k rpm is addictive

Ordered an Fabspeed Catted DP ~3 weeks ago via X-PH. Had a HJS 300 CELL downpipe before.
Car was sounding good already with HJS and MPE, but it sounds insane now. Love it!

Good to know - much of a difference [sound and throttle response) between HJS 300CPI DP and HJS 200 CPI used in F'speed DP ?

I know this has already been discussed in multiple threads. But I can't seem to find a solid answer. Would you say it's safe to run one of these DP's with no tune? I'm just looking for better sound not power and don't want to mess with how great my car runs.

Either one is safe to run without a tune. The HJS Euro 6 is a more ideal setup for not throwing CELs because it's 300 cell and has two cats that's like the OEM DP as opposed to the single 200 cell cat used by Fabspeed. The HJS Euro 6 flows over 90% of the Fabspeed DP and is a bit quieter. There's no real difference in power gained between the two DPs.

The HJS Euro 6 on my M235 (basically the same N55 as the one in your M2 minus a few pounds of boost) hasn't thrown a CEL in 3 months of use and 2,000 miles. The exhaust is definitely louder, but not overly so that it impacts the cabin in any negative way. It is all good sounds without rasp or drone. The throttle response is much better and there is more power across the entire power band. It's rather surprising how much of a difference it makes. The N55 feels more alive, willing to rev, and flexible. I love it.

Not doubting you but curious to know where did you read a dual chamber 200+100 eu6 HFC DP flows 90% of single chamber 200cpi HFC DP ?

HJS themselves. "SeanWRT" on this forum originally said the same thing a few years back. I emailed HJS and wanted to confirm before buying.

I'm running the FS downpipe without a tune. It's been on for a month and a half now, and maybe about 750kms with absolutely no issues. The car seems to have gotten a bit louder past the initial couple hundred kms, but I love it. I've got ADS coded off, and in comfort mode the car is a total kitten. Just road and wind noise, really. In traction, you get some pretty incredible burbling on the overrun. But, in my opinion, Sport+ is where it's at. Burbles aren't quite as loud, but loud enough, and it just makes all kinds of glorious sounds the likes of which I've not heard from other straight-six engines. The cat works great to keep any smell of fuel to a minimum.
