Aussie Review of LCI M2 & M140i
Not quite a "vs" thread, but the same reviewer during the same trip to Tasmania for the Targa (a well known closed road racing event) sampled both the M2 and M140i over the same roads. They are separate reviews, but as they are done back-to-back, I thought others might be interested in reading/watching both (there is a write up as well as a video for both)Interestingly, he rated the M140i as a 7.5/10 while the M2 gets a 7/10 ... but in the commentary for the M2, says how much better the M2 is than the M140i. There is no commentary in the M140i review about the M2.

Kind of funny how they say the M140 lacks the usual BMW polish. It looks almost identical to the 2 series IMO.

I've seen a few reviews that this guy has done ... I prefer it when I hear him speaking rather than when the camera is focused on him ... he's a very large guy, and I'm not sure whether it is him or his editor, but the vision that makes it online invariably shows him bouncing around and vibrating as he drives. I find it quite distracting ... sort of implies that there is a harsh ride where there probably isn't one.
Also, makes the point that there are some seriously cr*p roads in AU. |
