Agree, I feel the same way about my GT3 but a lot of those things are what make me not want to drive it on the street. It's rough, loud, a bit nervous with race seats, harnesses etc. I love driving my M2 on the road, it's a lot of fun and still comfortable as an everyday car.

I've driven my GT3 600 miles in the last 2 years, I drive my M2 every day.

I think it's a potato, not a phone

OP - Is your car really red? The photo looks like lava orange, but hard to tell because it's so messed up.

For the right price; at one point I would maybe buy a used GT4 clubsport and sell my Z4M. The right price for me is under 80.000euro (93.000 USD).
Damn, with that money you can't even buy a new M2 here where i live

Wel, that depends on perception IMHO.

I used to own a 981 CGTS, yes fabulous car in every aspect but one; the steering.

I can tell you that my previous 1M, my current M2, do steer better, more initial steering input. I know it sounds weird, some do not believe me because a Porsche must be better than the Bimmers, mostly that is true, but not on compared steering feel.
The CGTS steering has to much self centering force to it, it jus wants to go the middle, when high speed cornering I always had the feeling I had to fight the steering wheel, not to my liking I can tel.
The CGTS came on slowly on initial steering input, so you move the wheel further and faster for action, with the annoying effect that it came on to strong, it has a feeling of non-linearity to the steering to me.

I have driven the 981GT4 afterwards, that steering is much better IMO.
Put the crack rock down

I would love a GT4 but in my limited real world experience, they are not appreciably faster on the track.

Me looking around for people actually making this comparison:

These fake cross-shopping posts always crack me up. I wonder if I can go onto Rennlist to find ex-GT4 owners who bought a 570S dunking on their old community, "You shouldn't even be allowed to do a comparison!" lol.

Well maybe in UK, Canada & USA. In EU there is no problem in getting allocations. I was offered a 991.2 GT3 6 months ago without ever owning a P car before.
May I ask which dealer is that? I had my deposit in for 718 GT4 more than 2 years ago and being told without having a gt car to trade in, it's almost guaranteed no allocation will be offered. (I also visited all 5 Porsche dealerships in BC, Canada. All giving the same answer) I also own 2 911s purchased from 2 different authorized Porsche dealer, they don't consider that being helpful.

It was my local Porsche Centrum Poznan, one of 5-6 dealerships in Poland.
They even offered me a lease rate on it through their Porsche Finance. That was for the 991.2 GT3, now I want to reserve a spot for 2021 MY GT4 718 if it is NA, after I have enough fun with the M2 and then keep it as it's defo gonna be a classic.

My apologies that I misread your location. Yes I heard over in Europe things are a bit different. Unfortunately, in North America, those awesome machines are ending as money flipping tools instead of what they are truly designed for. Good luck to you on getting the new GT4, pretty sure it will have that 4.0 NA 👍
