Shock Damper/Bumper: Assistance requested

Just replaced my coolant thermostat..thought I’d look at the driver’s suspension since it’s been squeaking forever… Saw that there are two shock dampers/bump stops on the driver’s side and none on the passenger’s side….

Any thoughts would be much appreciated? Normal, F’d up, etc…

Definitely f'd up.
The doubled-up bump stops are upside down too, for extra

points.

Lol I would definitely scream at whoever you bought the car from/got the car worked on from

I guess it was a liquid lunch at the BMW factory that day... quality at its finest.

No way it left the factory like that.
Most likely the previous owner had lowering springs and hastily swapped back to stock to sell the car.
Easy enough to fix, but I'd be worried about what else may have been monkeyed with if this is the standard of workmanship.
