TPMS Question

I’m picking up my 2018 M2 tomorrow, and have ordered a set of Apex EC-7’s with Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4. I have read that the pre-LCI M2s don’t let you leave comfort mode if TPMS is not detected. I was hoping to run my winter wheels without TPMS, and was wondering if the LCI vehicles have the same issue?

Ordered the exact wheels W/O TPMS for my 18LCI. All modes work.

All modes will work without TPMS sensors. Altho, the car will go Comfort mode response without the sensors, even in DSC off.

Why wouldn't you get the Sensors? Saves the hassle of not knowing you have a flat...in 20 degree weather. At least if you see the light you can get to a tire place (speaking from experience last winter)

Just my .$02

I did not get sensors to save $300. After driving for 48 years, I know when my tire pressure is dropping , and am about to get a flat.
