something strange

whats up guys,,
i have two cousins that got M2.
both are modified such as DP cat less and catted, full cat less exhaust, methanol and JB ,etc....

the thing is one of them took the car to the track and he dropped the rear tires pressure from 38 to 20 psi. he change the settings to sport plus to unleash the beast, but for some reason after driving it on the track the car goes back to comfort mode? strange!!!

so what we did we filled up the tires again with air to make it as normal. the car is fine and doesn't flip between mods?

the other case,
my cousin got the same car but with direct methanol injection kit and JB4,
he was trying the car performance for the half mile run.
done the same tires pressure. same thing happened car flips from sport plus to comfort!!!

filled up the rear tires again to the normal pressure and the car runs great!

strange isn't it?

HELP!

There are several TPMS threads in the Track section of the forum that detail what’s going on and how to address this.

Tire presume is too low. That's why it's going into comfort mode.

20psi is way too for normal driving and dangerously low for performance driving.

so whats the best number for:
1- Roll racing.
2- Track, Time Attack.
3- Half mile racing.
4- Quarter mile racing.

Thank you

27psi is the lowest you can go (or so I've read) before the car kicks it into protection/safe mode and requests you fill the tires

You’ll have to run with no TPMS sensors or code out TPMS to go with PSI that low. The car will still have Comfort Mode throttle response, but allow you to run DSC off.

The TPMS threads in the Track section provide a lot of details several of us have learned at the track. Give them a read thru.
