Cold whether grip seems better than MPSS.

My car stays in the garage and I don’t drive it when it’s lower than 20F if I have to park outside for a while at my destination, so I can’t tell you how sustained low temps impact longevity.

Lucky you I ended up with them as well.

What are you currently running?
Pirelli sottozero
I assume you're happy with them, correct?
they are what they are. Not a ton of choices this time of year. If I can sell these Conti's I'll run p4s this summer.
Do you have a discount tire near you?

Not much wear at all, I'd say out 95% tread life left. They didn't even look, they said basically the max they pay is $50 a tire but this size wouldn't work for many other vehicles and offered me $40

What tires are you buying and what price did they quote you before the tire trade figure?

And did you try calling other stores without giving them your phone number?

I'd want 200 for those tires and I believe you will get that number.

My street 265/285 PS4 setup on OEM wheels is almost as quick as my square 265 18” RE-71R setup at my local track (Summit Point).

And, they have a good bit more grip than the 245/265 PSS setup that came on my car.
ZM2, are your PS4 tires 30 series?

35, so they’re taller relative to the OEM sizes, but the comfort is still there vs 30 series tires.

One last clarification request ZM2...

Is there ANY rubbing due to the larger diameter 265/35 front tire in track/autoX conditions??

Thanks!

That tire deserves the word "sucker". And take that as a compliment.
What sizes did you get for the 4S'?

Thinking if I should go OEM or a tad wider for the 4S'.

You only have to give it a little more right foot.

A week or so ago I posted a brief review of my experience with 18,000 miles of 4S driving. Great tires, I highly recommend them. I suspect I will get about 25,000 out of my rears and perhaps 30,000 out of the fronts. I have gone to a dedicated track wheel/tire setup to help preserve these tires, they hold up pretty well to track work but of course those heat cycles will take a toll.

Are you running spacers upfront with your OE 9" wheel / 265 tyre combo ?

I switched from the stock Michelin SS w/ 6500 miles on the clock (still have them for sale btw) to the PS4's because of the traction issue that I had w/the SS's in the rain.

I talked w/ Rudy at Tirerack.com and he was right.

The PS4's are much better in the rain - and more quiet overall.

No, but will be going back to 255 on the 9” wheel. 265 is too wide for 9” and it makes initial turn in less crisp.
