MY18 here and also lucked out with Michelins.

Interestingly, the 4 other Canadian MY18 M2's I did my M Tour/Euro Delivery with had Contis.

I'm in Houston, picked mine up the week before you. There was another LCI delivered with mine, also with MPSS. I wouldn't sweat it, no rhyme or reason to it and we're all going to need another set of tires in 15-20k miles anyway
I'm nearly done with my Conti's and they have about 9,000 miles on them.

My Contis were ok to 10,000km. Then no grip. Feels like I have 450hp!

MPSS

Picked up my Week 38 build at the Performance Center 11/8. Very happy to discover it had MPSS.

M2Ruder picked his up his Week 38 LCI build the same day at the Performance Center but got Conti's.

I think it is just the luck of the draw on which brand you get.

My week 47 build came with contis. I’ll be getting the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S when I burn through the stock tires.

Picked my MY18 about a month ago...Conti's. Stock wheels and tires will just sit in my basement anyway.

I already had a set of MPS4S waiting. Larger (255F/285R) than the stock config and will be mounted on VFF-107's...just waiting for this ridiculous winter to calm the eff down.

Looks like March/April at this point...sigh.

I got my LCI delivered last October with Contis. Huge disappointment. I had already an M2 with MPSS before the LCI. I could not recognize the car anymore, no feeling. I even promised myself it has to get better after a few hundred miles... needless to say, did not happen.
For the winter I switched to my Michelin Alpin 4 set ... and even those feel like proper tires.
That's negative karma dear BMW, for doing this kind of crap tire choice with the M2.

Unfortunately I just picked up my 2018 LCI and it has contis as well... just a good excuse to go through these ASAP and get PS4's!

My week 47 car had Conti's, but when I fussed about another unsold M2 on the showroom with Michelin's they swapped the rims for me

The other car sold hours after the rims were swapped to a guy who apparently had no clue about the different types of tires, so just my luck.

To be honest, in regular driving I couldn't tell a whole lot of difference between the two. Michelin's seem a little softer and quieter to me, but not majorly so

Just picked up my car last Friday and it came with Michelin PSS. One of the things I looked at when I went to pick it up. Too bad, did you mention anything to the dealer?

So......I attended a Michelin tire clinic at GMP here in Charlotte that had their Manager of US sales, and two top tire engineers. They said that they cannot keep up with BMW's demand for tires so BMW has had to dual source and since the M2 is entry level they are willing to put either tire on. Also they told me that the Conti is a great tire, of course not as good as theirs but very close and most could not drive it to its capability. So he suggested I just run them then when I change to go to the new Pilot sport 4s. Lastly the only reason you need to use the "star" version of the tire is if you are keeping the car fully stock. The moment you make suspension changes or tire size change you have thrown the so called BMW developed "star" design out the window so don't waste any energy on it......

MPSS likely will be around about another year or so as they ramp up to full production on the new tire.

When the 1M came out it had the michelin Pilot PS/2 which was the shiznit at the time. It was replaced by the Michelin Pilot SuperSport which immediately kicked ass over the prior tire.

Both the contis and the MPSS are years old. A set of MP4S is better than both.
