The June 10th date wasn't set in stone. This is typically when BMW release allocations and most of the time it coincides with the second Monday or so of the month.

This month it didn't, so maybe we'll hear something Monday, maybe we won't. At this point it's all a crapshoot.

I've heard locally that July production slots are up next so you'd think they would release allocations in June. We'll see.

At this point I'll believe it when I see it. For some reason the normal rules don't apply to this car's manufacturing schedule.

As OP indicates, June will get allocations for July, August, and September. This info is not speculation, but provided by BMW via bulletin.
If a dealer had 6 allocations total for the year counting HEA, which seems to be average, they'd likely get 2 to 3 more allocations this month.

I don't think people realize it's specific to this car. The allocation will include production for all models. There aren't exceptions being made just for the m2

CADK in your experience, how accurate are these bulletins from BMW? When they say 6/10 but nothing happens, what are the chances of them putting something out this coming Monday?

Thanks for the info. The car play option is $300 on the M3/4 so I'm assuming it will be the same on the M2.

That's interesting on the M Drivers Package in the US. From reading the full post on new model year changes it made it sound like the M drivers package was specifically NOT an option on the M2.

The bulletins are accurate. BMW never said anything about 6/10. That's something that started here on this forum. That being said, I'm sure we'll get our next allocation soon so there is enough time to modify the orders before production starts in a few weeks.

Nobody said June 10th was a hard date. It's just an estimate based on when BMW releases allocations - typically 2nd Monday of the month - which most
of the time is on or around the 10th.

I previously found the statement a bit ambiguous. Perhaps it means, all new M car owners will be given the option for training and excludes prior sales. For individuals that previously purchased a BMW you have the option to attend BMW's one day and/or two day M classes.

What I do know for sure is that everyone getting a MY2017 that was previously whining about losing some free maintenance, probably has a big sh*t eating grin on their face.

Approximately, how much USD is the M Drivers Package option?

Yeah, not going to lie, a little sad if that's the case. I'm going to have a car produced a week prior to the 2017 MY. Wonder if I'll be able to talk BMW into giving it to me.

Android auto sucks. My Mom Q7 has both. Reason it sucks is that you need to select configuration, download app, and worst of all you phone goes basically black when you plug in forcing you to use the car wheel to set everything. Faster to use the cars navigation.

I then plugged in my iphone and basically no setup and displays your phone screen. You open maps and go and works as fast as you plug in. Just plug and go.

If BMW is charging for car play they can keep it. I am an Apple fan but have no need for it with all the stuff BMW Connected drive has and the standard factory nav.

Does SOP mean it isn't an option for cars built before that date?

Using car play on the cars nav and hotspot with an iPad I can go back to a smaller iPhone.

Your mom is using an old version without wireless support.
