I really, really wish you well on this build, TYSP33D! Enjoy the time spent - and the investment - and I am sure you will end up with a completely unique and awesome car.
Everything so far has me salivating for more. Subbed for sure! Ps. I have 285/35 R19 rears and they *just* rub over crests (well, on landing) - but never on a track, even over ripple strips. 265 fronts, no issues. I am very interested in your tyre / suspension setup as I am surprised 285s fit the front! I hope to mod my M2 too to be more track focussed... but not anywhere near as awesome as yours 😁 |

We have used CSF Racing products before with great success. They are a family owned company and provide excellent support of their products, real enthusiasts. The make a complete kit for the F8X chassis, and so I figured one stop shopping was the way to go! Thank you for your recommendations to BIMMER PERFORMANCE CENTER In NC. I will reach out to Bob and see what he has to say. As far at the suspension /wheel / tire setup , we are experimenting here across the board. Wheels are due to arrive from APEX this week, and we have the tires already. Since we will be developing custom damper set here, We should be able to make it work as we will be designing the kit to work based on our selected ride height, camber needs and tire sizing. I will be sure to post plenty on that as it gets underway. Cage fabrication began yesterday, and I should have some good teaser pics of all the parts to post up tonight. Thanks for everyone's support. |

Drop the temps 40 degrees from limp mode (280 degrees) down to 240 at 115 degree heat index - it really works, and is the easiest / cleanest install - used all of the OEM ducting which is super critical for proper cooling. paradoxical3 did all the testing for us before we released the cooler. The dual-cooler design is the 1st of it's type ever created |

It still uses the MAF for more accurate load calculations though. I'm sure Halim @ HCP, or for someone in the US, Justin @ twisted tuning can custom tune. I know of one other vendor that can custom tune for pure speed density.

An intercooler is always a good upgrade, regardless of modification. The larger surface area of CSF Cooling intercooler as well as all aluminum construction (not to mention OEM mountings) make it a good choice. I am sure it is less than the factory unit, which has plastic end tanks, a significantly smaller core of different construction, etc. |

We are fabricating a Ram-air intake using the passenger side headlight. We have relocated the cooling system to the driver' side in order to run a 2.75" silicone inlet right to the headlight. I'd like to eliminate the MAF as it is just an obstruction, and with us only using this a race car, I figured the less restriction the better. |

Updated with some new pics including the layup of the first attempt of a CF head light blank, which will become the inlet for the turbocharger on the passenger side:

CSF redesigned the M2 FMIC from the ground up. Better than the Wagner competition EVO 2.

Please share sizes once you guys get them. I'm looking to pick up a set of Apex wheels in the spring and still trying to figure out offsets for 10" wheels, square. |
