I couldn't see that one thing in easy mode - did I miss it? Or it isn't available for the M2?
It can be done in expert mode, but only for the drivers seat. The module for the passengers seat is currently not available even though it is listed. I just connected to my car and it had a grey dot next to it (instead of a green one) meaning it can't be accessed at this time. I expect that will change once they update the app since it's listed there. No idea on the time frame but they are usually good at updating it pretty regularly.

Anyway if you want to code the drivers seat here's how to do it:

Seat Module Driver > Expert Mode >

3000 SM_GLOBAL > EINAUSSTIEGSHILFE > Modus_FA_SLV

3012 EAH > EAH_VERFAHRWEG_SLV_PHYS > Custom Value > 0x00, 0x64

3012 EAH > EAH_SCHUTZFREIRAUM_HINTEN_SLV_PHYS > Custom Value > 0x00, 0x00

Note: The 0x64 byte entry is how far back the seat will go and it is equal to 100mm. You can change that 64 to something higher or lower to suit your personal needs.

Keep in mind I have NOT tried or tested this myself but others have done it on ESYS and it seems to have worked for them:

http://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1362147

If you're too scared to do it yourself on the app you can always pay a coder do it for you with ESYS.

Hope this helps. Cheers.

Does anyone know if BimmerCode is still updating? Been wondering about the cluster light changes and the car to start in sport mode.

They update all the time, the last update was literally yesterday.

The cluster light change is a possibility but i'm not 100% sure.

You can't start in sport or sport+

Eco Pro is the only setting you can change it to and we obviously don't have it in our cars so it's pointless:

Hey guys do you guys know how to do easy entry with bimmercode. I tried it on my x5 first. Went to expert mode

3000 SM_global easy_entry to Aktiv
Easy_entry_ttb to aktiv

The. I changed the bytes for how far the seat goes back etc in the 3012 module....

Nothing happens.

Nothing happens.

We have a drivers front seat module in bimmercode. It's not called SM2 but it does have all the same settings within it that people are changing in ESYS so I assume it's possible for us to do this in expert mode.

The thing is even in ESYS many people report mixed results.

As you can see here this dude couldn't get it going on his 2015 M4 initially

http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...1151841&page=2

He finally got it working with these 3012 values:

EAH_VERFAHRWEG_SLV_PHYS > 00, 28

EAH_SCHUTZFREIRAUM_HINTEN_SLV_PHYS >00, 60 (Hexadecimal for 3C)

If you keep reading in that thread, those same values didn't work for a different guy with a 2016 M4

http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...5&postcount=18

I guess it depends on the model of the car or the year of production?
Maybe the ISTEP version? Hard to be certain.

I haven't tried to get this working on my car so I really don't have much information to give you other than what i've read elsewhere that's worked for others:

"I had to mess with the EAH_VERFAHRWEG_SLV_PHYS parameter a little to get this to work. My understanding is this is a safety feature to prevent the seat going all the way back and smashing your rear passengers??? Do people really ride in the back of these things?!?"

Thanks man, i’m Giving up. I changed all the 3012 values all over the place. No luck. In the end I just put it back to not active.

But would definitely be nice to have it functioning

Damn, sorry to hear. Hopefully they'll add it to easy mode. Might take a few months but I have a feeling it will end up there eventually.

VLD (Variable Light Distribution):

Front Electronic Module > Expert Mode >

3073 LaMaster1 > LUT_FLC_FORWARDLIGHTING_Y > 9C,9C,9C (Both)

3073 LaMaster1 > C_AFS_ENA > Enable (Both)

Note: You'll see two check marks. If you tap the top one, the bottom one will go away. Make your selection. Back out. Go back in. Both correct selections should have the blue check mark next to them.

Thank you. This is the first thing I am looking forward to doing with my 2018. Being able to do it with the bimmercode app vs waiting for my buddy to get his windows PC booted and updated is much more efficient

It's easier and quicker than coding with ESYS but comes at the risk of losing connection to the car mid way though the process which can result in some headaches. Not very common but it happened to me once. Backups wouldn't fix it. Had to have BMW recode the car. Fortunately they did it for free and updated my istep.

To minimize the possibility of a connection failure use the recommended wifi odb II reader, not a bluetooth one. The range and connection is better with wifi.

Code with your engine running if you can. If you're unable to run the car at least leave the driver door open and turn on parking lights.

Shut off the heat/ac and mute the radio.

Code in close proximity of the car. Drivers seat is best.

This is great. Do you do anything to LaMaster2?

I have xenons. They will work differently than LEDs so if your car is LCI I can't answer your question.

Absolutely yes. The headlights move around a lot more afterwards, and the beam spread on a highway is way better.

These are all comments from an LCI LED Adaptive; I'm not sure how good the Xenons are.

Cool! I have the LCI LED Adaptive as well. Do you know if there is any difference between Canadian and US models on LCI LED adaptive lights?

Someone from Toronto just confirmed that you have 8S4 and 5AP in your Canadian builds, so that is the same as the US.

The only way to be sure if coding will work, is to get a full FA from your car (which lists the things in your build and region), and then compare your default coding data to the same vehicle with 8S4 removed. That's what I did to confirm it for myself. Of course, all of this is with E-Sys and NCD Compare.

If you had E-Sys and could read your FA and SVT it would be very easy because you could share that with someone. Even just the FA might be enough. I could try to guess the differences between your FA and a US one (mine), and that would probably not be too difficult either, but you couldn't be 100% sure.

Having said all of that, there best thing to do is to try and and see what happens. There is an extremely low chance of anything breaking from these small number of settings.

Additional Coding Features

Anyone tried the following?

1. Turn On Zoom Feature For Rear View Camera? What effect does that have and can you change zoom features?

2. Enable Tailights as DRLs. In the REM_01 module there's an outer and inner. Do you do both or just one?

3. One Touch lane change count to say 4 blinks instead of 3. Where do I find that?
