Finally - evidence that "transport mode" exists!

I also took advantage of a warmer day, 6C, to bleed the cylinders on my new QuickJack, lifted her up, gave her a underbody rinse and then washed her thoroughly.

Made a poll in another sub thread for what I should do about exhaust tips. So this isn't what I did to the car today, but what I will do to it in the future! Please vote in the poll if you have an opinion!

I went with the QuickJack 5000-SLX based on the positive posts in http://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1311109. I don't know what availability would be like in Scotland though.

I haven't really used it properly yet, it arrived during a very cold snap and yesterday it was only used for rinsing the bottom of the car. In the spring I'll be using it for tire change-overs, oil changes, brake fluid changes and brake pad switches for track use. From the bit I have done, I think it will be really nice for that, much better than jacking each corner separately as I did last year.

Picked it up on Saturday, yesterday I installed the black grills.

I opted for the matte finish with the black gloss M2 logo from IND. Love the logo, I'm still getting used to the matte look. For sure I did not see this combo around yet.

Nice.

They look like leather in the picture somehow to me.

I checked the Battery Tender for a green light, to make sure the big lump in the trunk stays fully charged.
