Guessing it's not a coincidence since the US MY18 BYO just went online today too...

How did you get to that "track" page? I was able to add my car by production number, but I can't find anywhere to actually see the status of it.

Same happened with me, didn't see it initially until I checked again about an hour later. It was on the left hand column under "Track My BMW".

Point is, if you're not of the same mentality, I think DCT may be the better bet for you. After all, the DCT is no slushbox and, while it's not my choice, lots of folks enjoy changing gears with the paddles.
If money was no object, or if the DCT was a $500 option, I'd probably be more inclined to take it. $2900 is a lot of money, and that doesn't include the additional costs needed to deal with the regular DCT maintenance (not sure how often the fluid is changed there?)

Plus, as I've said elsewhere, a lot of my current "mild distaste" for manual comes from the TTRS's garbage gearbox & clutch. I was amazed at how light the clutch was when I test drove a 335ix in 6MT; if the M2 is close to that I will probably not be nearly as annoyed having to pump it regularly. I'm still like 75% sure I want the 6MT, it's just the nagging 25% that I might prefer the DCT that is giving me pause.

I noticed that you have to log out and back in to see the 'Track My BMW' section appeared. Unfortunately, mine gives an error if I click it that looks like this:

Maybe I just have to wait a little longer... the phone line says 112 status though.

Mine is giving the same "Application error" too. I haven't called in yet but I have to guess it has also gone 112. Need to get a more finalized delivery date from my dealer so I can finish de-modding the TT... mostly just electronics at this point that I don't want to pull out until I have to, for fear of tickets or dealing with the crap stock audio system.

Is anyone else getting the wrong color in the confirmation screen after you put in the production number?

It works and the color is right!

Track My 2018 M2 Coupe

We are currently processing your order and will inform you once your BMW enters production.

So I was trying to research a little bit and it seems like that is a pretty common thing to have a different color showing initially in the system. Kind of makes you paranoid though especially when you have to wait a few months for the finished vehicle. Being paranoid I actually called Genius but they seemed a little clueless.

I actually just emailed my CA to confirm.

Mine is showing up correctly - LBB.

It's odd that people are getting a mix of different colours. I'd have thought that if the system didn't yet know the paint colour, it would default to a single (potentially incorrect) choice... weird.

So the reply I got from my CA was

"It’s correct in the system but it will show the original build which was LB Blue until it’s pulled in to production. Clients ask this all the time to make sure that the order is correct."

I had taken over someone else's build who originally went LBB but decided to go a different direction.

Worth noting, just because you show up on the website doesn't mean you're at 112 yet. I called the automated line and it still says I have "no production date scheduled" which AFAIK means it's still status 111.

I haven't called the actual flesh & blood humans in the past week to check though.

WK36 started to move to status 150 as of last Friday so I guess some of us WK37s will start seeing status 150 this Friday. This is WK34 anyhow, it's about time for our turn to start production.

And I'd say there is a very high chance your car and ours might be on the same boat, and if so... we'll be picking up together from the dealer, and maybe driving back up to the Bay area together. M2 Road trip meet up on day 1!

For those that are getting an app error when trying to track it, I had the same thing start happening. I did however find a workaround, it's weird, but it's worked twice for me when I got the error.

Workaround
  • Under "Vehicles" click "View All Vehicles".
  • Click the drop and then click the blue button "VEHICLE PROFILE".
  • Lastly under "Track My BMW" click on "2018 M2 Coupe"
You should now see the tracker. Curious if it works for others also having this issue.

Works for me, and I get the error if I just click track immediately after logging in.

I noticed I have to go through these steps after each login to get it to work.
