Ordered

I can finally say that my order has been accepted and now just have to wait for the car to be built. I initially was deep on lists at a couple dealers and then decided to call the salesperson that has sold me 2 M3's in the past. After some emailing and negotiating I was able to secure an allocation at MSRP. I am beyond excited!

Cool. Of course supports an argument that dealers can manipulate lists and stiff others that are on a list to benefit valued customers. I'll need to lean on my dealer more!

I'm sure it happens. There were 2 dealers that took my name but no deposit. It was explained to me by them that existing customers and in state residents get 1st priority. If no wait list or takers from the above, then I may get a call from them. I'm not holding my breath.

That's awesome news! How long was your wait from list to order?

I just got home from placing the order. Wait listed at #3 on July 15th, got a call yesterday to come in. Status 111 at this point with a production number. Supposedly delivery last week of December.

What's the week of your build, were you told? Just curious to see what people are being told about the relationship between build week and delivery...

Being a non priority build, I'm told it should begin the 3rd week of October with dealer delivery the last week of December...

Interesting, I have the 4th week of October (week 43, starting Monday the 24th), and was told the middle of December for delivery. Which I kind of doubted at the time, and still do...

What's a priority build, by the way?

I'm week 42. Didn't really pin them down on a delivery time but hoping by the end of the year.

Just repeating what the CA told me this afternoon. Best case is delivery last week in December.

I'm a NON-priority build... just a garden variety purchaser. Just very happy to be off the waiting list.

Right, I just figured if there was such a thing as a non-priority build, then there might be such a thing as a priority build.

But I'm with you on getting off that damn list. Or lists, plural. That was torture without predictable end. Now we move on to torture with a more predictable end

Rockville. I was around number 20 I believe at Fairfax, but that was when I put a deposit down 3 or 4 months ago. No idea what my current number would be. I was pretty much told next year.

I was #6 or #7 so that sounds about right. Happy for you, regardless

I think priority/non-priority refers to if its been sold to a customer yet. They've been known to push up build dates of customer sold allocations and push back ones that are not sold.

My week 37 lbb got bumped to week 36. Dealer entered it as priority 1 sold. It's currently at port awaiting a ship.

I received an email over the weekend that my car had started production. Originally I was given December 5 as a delivery date for PCD, seems like the car will be delivered earlier?

Thanks I'll do that now

They told me they estimate production to start early to mid November.

Got week 41, and requested PCD and just got an email for a 12/8 delivery. a little later than I expected, but I am having winglets, CF diffuser, CF mirror caps, kidney and side grills, pedals all installed at port. Also hoping for CF spoiler to be installed at port, but so far am being told that isn't an option for port installation.
