Audio level for bluetooth music

Is there a way to increase audio level either in iDrive or via coding. To get enough volume have to turn selector way up. Then when switching to radio I get totally blasted. Problem exists with iPhone as well as other devices.

In previous BMW's I was able to adjust this. Can't find in this so far.

Make sure the volume is up all the way on your phone after connecting it and starting music playback. Typical for most cars.

If this is an iPhone or other Apple BT device; go to "settings", "music". Turn of "sound check" and "audio limit". If you are using "EQ" on your phone, this could affect the audio levels too.

This is common to have low volume on BT speakers with these settings enabled. Sound check acts as audio normalization and causes volume levels to be reduced as they are normalized across different audio tracks.

I reduce my audio a couple clicks as I sometimes will hear degradation at full volume. This might just be me, but it was the same on my last bimmer.

This is something that can happen... My wife has two iPhones, a 7, her personal phone and a 6Plus, her work phone. The 7 sounds like fried crap, low volume, no bass and just very 'thin' sounding. The 6Plus is clear, full and loud. Same car, different results. It's annoying but I think it's a setting as her previous IPhone 6 sounded like crap, and the settings have obviously been brought over when she upgraded to the 7.
