Just took delivery of my LBB yesterday, saw a guy tell his girlfriend "Oh shit, an M2", while crossing the street in front of me. Later on a guy stopped when i parked to tell me "It's a gorgeous gorgeous car, have a nice ride" after tailgating me for ten minutes on twisties.

Very limited time behind the wheel, but it seems to attract way more attention than I expected, and only from enthusiasts, which I expected.

Yes the police notice my M2. They seem to frequently speed up from behind then slow down right next to me then get right behind me. Maybe they are checking out the car. Maybe they are hoping to find a reason to pull me over.

Had a funny encounter yesterday where I was on the the left lane at stop light waiting for the left turn. A black guy around his 40's pulls up in a truck with windows rolled down 75%. I was looking at my phone and I hear "Hey you wanna race!?" I looked at his truck and he starts reving his engine. I replied back "What you got in there?" Then I realize it was green light and the car in front of me is already moving while his lane was still a red light. I was gonna jokingly reply back "Next time!" but as I looked over he laughs and says "Be safe brother!"

I am in the Boston area this weekend, and many people noticed mine. I am driving around with my three sons. It's a hoot. A guy in a Benz SUV slowed down on the highway to ask how I liked it. He was blocking his lane. LOL. He's trying to get the new light weight version.

Lots of traffic as I'm coming out of a plaza trying to make a right turn into the farthest left lane. 3 lanes of cars to get through as they are stuck and I noticed an e92 M3. No cars were moving but the M3 windows were. He rolls down his 5% tinted windows and puts up a 2 sign asking if it's an M2. I nodded while putting up a thumbs up and him and his girl did the same. Cars then left some space for me to go and the M3 let me get in front so I can go to the farthest lane.

It's nice to see M car drivers acknowledging and appreciating other M cars. However it's only with M car drivers because the 240i I run into got this bitter look to them. It prolly doesn't help that I'm young looking too.

Guy pulls up to me in a car and says, oh my god, it's so beautiful... I'd take you out just to ride in that car!!! I'll have to post some pics of my car, it is a bit special

I was driving with my girl the other day (she hand't been in my M2 yet) and at one point on the freeway there was a guy in an E30 hanging out his window getting pictures and a guy in a mustang on the other side doing the same. She just looked at me and was like is this normal? lol

If my recent Euro Delivery is any example, this car gets attention and as others say a d**k magnate. First, valet brings my car up from the parking lost at the Welt, a guy that appeared to be waiting for his BMW stood up and walked to it. At first I thought, oh that's not my car, but I looked at the plates and realized it was my car. The guy didn't speak English but I knew he wanted to check it out and then take a picture with his phone.

Next, I arrive my hotel in Rothenburg ob der Tauber hotel and turning into the parking area a guy gives me the thumbs up. Following morning after starting my car, two construction workers are walking by me & circling their hands, they wanted me to rev the engine, so I obliged, they clapped and walked away patting each other's backs.

But the best was at Klaussen Pass, at the top by the hotel/restaurant. The open air tables sit about 8 feet above the road and line it as well, plus it's crowded. I didn't notice at first but my wife says, they're all checking out your car. I said, they probably do that to every car. She said nope, no one looked at the GTI in front of us. I think the exhaust caught their attention first, then maybe color. I found a nice place to park out front and a guy immediately walks up with a very expensive looking camera, and takes a few pics of my car.

Could have a lot to do with LBB and would get tiring or scary after awhile, but it sure was fun while it lasted.

I have and the closest one was an Austin yellow with a chick driving with a baby in the back. She didn't do anything but just checking out the car but I didn't pay much attention to her but more on the car. She followed behind me and I followed behind her naturally based on traffic. It's always fun driving with other M cars on the road.

Pretty sure the M2 will get lots of attention, but it will most certainly be from guys. Most girls I've met don't know anything about a car other than if it's expensive or not. I only have one female friend that has any idea what an M2 is, she said, "Oh, I like that, it looks like BMW is trying to get back to what the 3 series used to be!"

Today I found myself at the front of a red light on a wet night. A red e93 pulled up next to me blasting some music out their windows. Gave me a bunch of looks before trying to race me off the line.

Needless to say, he just made noise and spun the wheels. I turned off as soon as I could.

I posted earlier in this thread that my car gets much more attention than I expected especially in MG. One month out and the attention continues, it's a good looking car with great lines plain and simple. What really gets the attention however is the sound. This is a loud and exotic sounding car in all modes, but put the car in Sport mode and Track Mode on the MPE and wow! Few cars on the road sound like this and it is noticed by people in other cars and pedestrians etc. Guys usually have looks of admiration while women usually scowl in irritation. I particularly enjoy annoying women with the sound and anyone else who scowls. The sound of this car is like collectively flipping off all the anal and pretentious people in this city while rewarding those who appreciate it.

my favourite is when a guy is with his girlfriend and the girlfriend turns around and literally looks at me the whole time and the guy won't even take a peep because he knows that she knows.

I get a lot of Envious and jealous looks, because i look rather young ( im 23 ) and yesterday a guy pulled up next to me in an old C class estate, revved his engine so i would look and then did like a really rude laugh to his wife or whatever probably the classic '' oh look dad has gone away so his son borrowed his car '', a lot of jealousy in this country, needless to say once the lights hit green i sort of lost him somewhere in the rear view mirror don't know what happened to him, hope hes okay.

I live in a small city and people here drive old school muscle cars so I get the opposite when it comes to who is looking at my car.

"This car looks cute."
"It [LBB] matches my dress."
"It [LBB] matches my nails."

Check out this meet. I was the only M, let alone BMW here.

Was driving in a decent nice area at a stop light. I go on green at normal acceleration and this tall modded truck next to me with big ass tires was pushing hard as I heard his loud exhaust roaring. I then floor it and redlined 2nd gear to barely passing him and slowed down once in 3rd gear. He then passes me up and I was already going 60 in a 45mph zone. I was cautious of getting a ticket even though I had my radar detector. I then met him at the stop light and had to look up to see him and we both nodded and said wassup. I asked what he had in there and told me 5.7 hemi diesel and that his truck is heavy lol. The light turns green and we were back to civilized driving as he accelerated slowly while I was going normal speed with a turn coming up. Fun times in the streets.
