The 2nd day I had the car the speakers in the driver side door cut out. Only happened once and was fine after I restarted the car. Also had the iDrive screen a few times in the beginning with "no signal." Haven't had either issue since early on and I wonder if they pushed an update down.

Thanks. A simple search for "bass" turned up some relevant but unhelpful information confirming nobody really knows why it happens. Some said heat but it happened to me after getting into the car that had been sitting in the shade in 70 degree F cool weather for hours. A quick turning off and on didn't fix it rather as the threads say you have to turn it off, leave it for a few minutes and then it should be fine once you turn it back on. I live in Florida and I've had the car all through the hotter summer so heat doesn't sound like the trigger. As all the threads conclude...it's just frustrating and nobody can trigger the problem on demand which is most likely why it will never be addressed.

I started reading about audio issues because today I just noticed I have no Bass.. and searching led me to a couple threads and your reply is exactly what I am experiencing. Used the car Monday and sounded perfect. Today brought to work and has no Bass.

My HK amp had gone out. Had no sound, no aux, no radio, no chimes, nothing for approximately 3 weeks.... BMW did fix it for free since it was still under warranty

Yup, I went to lunch, started the car back up and noticed the volume was all the way up, but no sound. It came back on, but bass sounded very scratchy and than I turned off the car once more and it was gone until problem was resolved.
The problem was the amp.
