The beauty of the N55 in the M2 is that it has such an amazing sounding exhaust.It sounds way better than the S55 exhaust.It will be interesting to see if BMW can improve the sound of the S55 exhaust in the M2 CS.

Judging by the sound the soon to be released M4 GT4 makes then I think 'disappointing' is going to be the best still they can make the S55 ever sound.

I will really think twice about M2CS if its coming with S55 engine - hope and pray for a B58 variant.

The X3 M40i does use the same engine but I'm pretty sure the new model X3 comes out next year so again there is no longer a need for it.

It's the current X4 M40i that uses the same N55 engine as the M2.The new 2018 X3 M40i is going to be released this fall and it will have the new B58 engine.

IMHO it makes no sense not to wait an additional month for the 2018, especially if you are in no rush. If you are going to keep the M2 for a long time, you HAVE to wait for the 2018. Down the line, you'll be kicking yourself for not waiting the extra month or two.

Honestly, I think it has quite enough M badging already. Much more and you would be like Joey Tribbiani buying all that Porsche gear when he was pretending to own a 911 (Friends reference). I like a little subtlety myself.

I'd agree - particularly on badges on the outside, but the seatbelts are a nice subtle touch that most wouldn't notice.

Nice catch, saw that....let me preface the following with saying that I like new technology to the point that it becomes superior to prior systems. Having to toggle thru menus to see something that could be viewed at a glance, let's say with an actual analog gauge cluster showing the same continuously, is not superior. The efficient dynamics is something that could be toggled thru and that space could contain some useful info, like oil pressure and/or oil temp! If you're on a road trip slabbin' it then you are already aware of maybe trying to conserve some fuel and get more mileage out of the tank. Otherwise, on a spirited run on B roads who cares about efficient dynamics. HUD is a whole other topic, but resolves some issues. I always liked the simple layout of the older Porsche 911's.

Saw an M240i Coupe in Sunset Orange this weekend at BMW PGA Golf Champs.

TBH I wouldn't be choosing it if it was offered on the M2. Too rust/brown in colour. Much prefer Valencia Orange and thats more special.

Adaptive leds were 990 or something of your currency, correct? Takes too much effort to revisit the site on the phone, they're poorly made BMWs configs.. should learn from Volvos build your car-app
