Still waiting for an allocation?
Just curious how many people are still waiting for an allocation that placed their order in 2016? I placed my order, with a $2,500 deposit, on December 21, 2016 and still don’t have a production number. I’m just wondering are there others out there still waiting from 2016?

I was put on a wait list June 2016. I'm not sure if that's the same as being "ordered" but I wouldn't so until I get an allocation. Though I did give my preferred specs.

I went on a waitlist march 2016. I have received two allocations though, one in February and one in April but had to pass on both. I'm first on the list for MY18 though

Cast a wider net and you're bound to find an available allocation. I contacted a dealership in Orlando on March 17, 2017 and they had an available allocation. I gave them a $2k deposit and they ordered my car that day. I'm located in NY and rather than flying to FL and driving back to NY, they offered to have the car rerouted to NY. I'll be taking delivery at the end of June, at a NY dealership.

I put down my money down in February 2017 wanting a 2018, had plenty of cars come up at msrp that I passed on waiting for the lci. Supposedly going to be first at to get a 2018, but I still haven't received a call so maybe I need to wait until the next rounds. Looks like I'll be buying snow tires before it gets here.

You're not getting a car by July 1 if you don't have a production number unless they sell you a lot car. There isn't even time to ship a car here by then.

No. One in Milwaukee and one in the suburbs of Chicago. The week 33 spot was local so it worked out.

What dealer? Are they selling for MSRP? Maybe they have a $65k MSRP not a $53k MSRP.. Big difference in my book.

I called around to three nearby states in early May and took a chance with the dealer who said he could get me an allocation if I was serious. I was skeptical, but sure enough mine went into production last week. So, six weeks from deposit to starting production I think.
Getting MSRP plus USAA discount. Just have to be willing to call around or drive out of state (or ship it). Side note, I really didn't want a 2018 so I feel extra lucky it worked out as it did. |

Just got a voice mail from my SA - I have an allocation for a MY2018! Still waiting to hear what build week, but I confirmed build spec by phone and email.

http://www.bmwbellevue.com/new-inven...nchor-model-24 I can bet my right arm and my first born they want MSRP + mark up, no other dealer in my area has any on the lot One of the 2017 built was Feb2017 based on VIN, and doesn't have the $800 price increase though. |
