Allocations were given out to a small number of dealers a few weeks ago. Not many but dealers out there do have them.

Well, some allocations went out today... my order status went to 111 and I just got my production number!

A bunch of allocations went out last night - including mine. If you've been sitting on a waiting list, it's time to call your dealer.

According to the CA nobody in CO got an earlier week... but they may just be trying to make me feel better about the wait.

Also have my production number, I'm week 37. Ohio, from a relatively low volume dealership. Didn't hear anything from the other place I had a deposit with, but I was supposedly 4 or 5 on their list... getting my deposit back next week.

Well, just heard the other day I got my allocation for the 18' LCI. Sept. build with hopefully October delivery. Now I gotta see if I can sell my 11' 335xi M-Pkg. MT with about 67,000+ miles, silver and garage kept. Leased for 30 months and then bought it out. Has the CPO warrantee til the end of March 18'. Only mods are CF spoiler, summer Enkei wheels and Expel on the front fenders and entire hood forward. Car has been great. If I could afford it, I'd keep it as a daily driver and occasionally drive the M2.

Dealership told me it is for allocation for building in September w/ expected delivery in late October to mid November. Does that sound reasonable?

If it's early Sept - say, week 36 or 37, then it seems like a reasonable delivery estimate for late Oct. Mid Nov seems reasonable for later in Sept.

So when I asked my CA regarding how to check status going forward, he told me about creating bmw account on web using production #. Seems like my production # is not in the system yet as I can't seem to register account using the #.

How long does it typically take and what other methods do you guys use to check on status?

It took about a week for my production number to be recognized. Throughout this whole process (Week 27, now on a boat), the CA's computer connection to BMW by far has been the most up-to-date and correct source of information. My BMW, BMWUSA and BMW Genius have at times been accurate and at other times have been 2 weeks behind. I can understand that happening, but what I can't understand is one of the "official" BMW sources giving me entirely bogus information. The worst case was telling me the car was on a boat that BMW doesn't use - 3 days before the car was even built.

Right now, all the sources are in sync - but who knows what tomorrow will bring?

My car, which is currently on a boat in the mid-Atlantic heading to the US, is still is not recognizable in BMWUSA.com's system.

I just call the Genius number or my CA for updates.

My M2 has been in production for over a week and it wouldn't show up on the web until I used the VIN#.
