12 Time Zones To A European Delivery

Exactly 24 hours after leaving my home in Honolulu, 17 flight hours with 2 layover, this wonderful Sixt driver picked up my wife & I from the Munich Airport. He took us to our hotel for two short nights.

Saturday, it was a road trip to Klaussen Pass. OMG! Seeing all the Porsches, Ferraris other roadsters and sports cars was a treat in itself. But mine was the only M2 and when we reached the restaurant at the top, everyone was checking it out.

Congrats, incredible pictures. It seems like in some of those pics that you were able to drive so close into the small streets, do they normally allow vehicles in there? It's nice that it's not too crowded.

Thanks Motivate, those small cobblestone streets are open to cars, however some are only wide enough for one. Some others will fit two cars, but only if both cars hop the curb, which the locals w/o low profile tires don't mind doing. I got pretty good at finding reverse in the M2

Yes we were very lucky, most places weren't too crowded. Also, it stayed lighted till about 9:30 so we'd drive the M2 for pics about 7 after the stores have closed and the bulk of tourist had left.

Thanks hdg76, While I made the decision on the color & trans. My wife got to see all 4 colors and was very happy with my choice. My wife used to be very good with a stick in the BK years (before kids) and heard my comments on how easy this manual is to drive. She wants to drive it when it get's back to Honolulu

Wow, looks like a great trip! I'm hoping I can convince my wife that ED is something we need to eventually do...

Does anyone know why some of the pictures shifted on it's side after being fine for the first several days?

It's probably because you held the camera (phone?) sideways - or possibly upside-down from its normal orientation. Website software often only sees and posts what you took in the original orientation. If you go into the photo files on your camera, rotate them 90 degrees and repost them; sometimes that works, sometimes it doesn't.

Great trip - I thought Hawaii would be a good trip, but now I have a new goal for our 30th anniversary later this year!
