How does BMW count Build Weeks?
I did a search and couldn't find the answer, so...
My 2018 is Build Week 27 or 28, which would be the first week or two in August on a standard accounting calendar. But that doesn't match up correctly with what other buyers are reporting around here for their Build Weeks and matching dates. |

This year, the week of January 2, 2017 should be build week 1. BMW weeks start on Mondays.
For me last year was a bit of question b/c January 1 was on a Friday and I did not know they started counting weeks on Monday. Using that information my week 32 that was built on August 12 lines ups correctly. Week 28 this year, should be the week of July 10th. In Outlook options, select show week numbers. In Calendar | Preferences | Advanced | select Show week numbers |

Correct, also dealer told me build week means the week the production should be complete. The only thing they wouldn't know is which end of the week it'll be complete.

So, if BMW says they're building Week 27 or 28, that means they're starting a couple of weeks ahead of the originally announced start of production on July 17. That meshes with the 30 2017 orders being moved to 2018. |

Does MyBMW show 2018? I ask because I had a week 25 MY17 and now I'm told I am a week 28 and its a MY18, but the tracking page shows it as a 2017 still.
Also I was told the week was the week was the week it was to be complete but I asked the BMW Genius line several times and week 28 is my start production week with no timeline they could provide with a completion date. |

A production number shows a little tracking screen. Not much info other than starting production and ending production and a few other steps, but its very general. I was curious though if it showed a 2018 M2.

How do you know which build week you've been assigned? I checked the pinned order tracking thread, but it doesn't say. I'm not sure how to read my Production Build Sheet. Thanks.

Like I said above, I have only seen it on my CA's computer. Other people have said call a BMW Genius - and that My BMW should have it if you have a production number or VIN.
