Give Dave Townsend at Murietta a call. Very straight shooter and can likely dig up an allocation if they don't have one assuming you're ready to commit. MSRP too.

David dropped the ball when he told me his pricing and he did not realize upper management had different pricing in mind. If that was the case he should of never let me pick ED dates and confirmed those dates with ED department, production number given to me. Then all of a sudden did a bait and switch on me with pricing. David is a nice guy and very communicative and responsive and knows his stuff but I should not be the one who had a vacation/ED ruined by his mistake. If he was truly a number 1 M salesman you would think he would of gone to upper management at STBMW and told them 'hey I told xxxx MSRP pricing already' lets stick with it since he purchased plane tickets already, production number given to him, and ED date selected/confirmed'... But no he did not make that happen.

Extremely not fair for my wife and I.
Completely agree, and this is why I'm a bit surprised. As the top M sales guy who was allegedly recruited away from Baltimore to STBMW, you would think he would have far more clout and leeway with upper management to fix a situation like yours. It doesn't make sense that 'upper management' overruled him and put him in a position to completely screw you over like that.

I'm very lucky that I'm getting $2K off sticker. When I hear some of these stories, I realize I'm fortunate (and glad I didn't follow up with STBMW).

Once we agreed on pricing the ordering process quickly progressed and in less than a week I had a production number emailed to me, European Delivery dates confirmed, plane tickets bought. Then shortly after he dropped the ball.

Since this was an ED and my wife and I already requested days off work, finalized care for my two young kids (our first trip without the kids), purchased plane tickets, makes it much much worse when we were told the news from David.
Piece of advice for the future -- always get them to back up what they agree to on the phone in writing as well-- even via email.

I had text messages from David with MSRP U.S. pricing.

But yes next time I definitely will. Lesson learned.

Wow I'm really surprised at this feedback on David Aviles and Steve Thomas BMW.. I'd previously heard all these rosy stories about him on the forum.. definitely going to keep this in mind next time I'm in the market for a //M car.

I had very good luck with Tina at Sterling BMW - Euro Delivery. She saved my bacon and even gave me regular Euro pricing as opposed to the US pricing or $5K over US pricing it seemed everyone else wanted to charge.

Yeah, it was super easy. No pressure to buy the add on packages either.

"AB" (Ahmad Banat) at Long Beach BMW is a good guy to deal with and a straight shooter. I just picked up my X6 M from him. You can negotiate based off invoice price with him and he'll voluntarily disclose (email) to you the exact terms of any deal - invoice price, money factor, etc.

His direct number is 714-715-6955. Tell him J with the Blue X6 M referred you.
