MY18 USAA discount?
According to a few dealerships I've talked to BMW has not officially added the 2018 M2's to the list of eligible vehicles for the $2k discount. 2017's are on the list but '18 currently are not.
Anyone with an order for an '18 hear the same? All the dealerships I've talked to said they will honor the USAA discount on an '18 as long as there is one. UPDATE: MY18's were added to the USAA program on 7/5/2018. See my post #8 for updated program chart. Last edited by importriders; 08-18-2017 at 11:34 PM.. |

When I put my deposit down in May my dealership said that they were still waiting to find out what the 2018 USAA discount was going to be on the M2. In other words, they didn't say '18s weren't going to get the discount; they just didn't know yet. They definitely did say they'd honor the discount, whatever it turned out to be.

My cert only says this "* Incentives for eligible MY 2017 and MY 2018 models. Confirm eligible models with an authorized BMW Center." Key word is ELIGIBLE. No place on my cert does it say specifically that 2018 M2's are eligible. I'm pretty sure we have the exact same cert with just a different offer code and member account number. And you cannot even add a 2018 M2 on your vehicle list for the car buying service. Other MY18 BMW models can be added which also coincides with the eligible MY18 models in the bulletin. Basically everything lines up with what the BMW bulletin says. |

I remember reading that thread also, but I concluded that it was just speculation based on the fact that BMW hadn't announced anything definitive yet. In other words, no one posted a memo from BMW (or similar "proof") confirming/denying MY18 M2 exclusion from the USAA discount.

So unless USAA/BMW are really changing their agreement by a lot, I think it is just a case of it hasn't been updated yet. |

My certificate also states all MY2017 and MY2018 vehicles, and the list shows "BMW 2 series +M" (see attached). I get what the bulletin says, but am hoping that was just a case of the '18s not being imminent when it was published in March. My CA has not indicated to me that the MY18 M2 is not eligible, and I specifically re-confirmed with him when my allocation was booked.

So far nothing is conflicting with the USAA cert everyone has, myself included, and what the bulletin I posted says. People and some dealers are misunderstanding what the cert says. I guess we should find out soon enough when an 18 actually gets delivered and someone tries to get the incentive. |

How quickly things change. I decided to get the info from the horses mouth and contact BMW directly via the email on the bulletin. Here is the response from BMW, this went into affect on 7/5/17. You are welcome everyone!
Good Afternoon, The Model Year 2018 M2 is included in the USAA program. Please let us know if we can be of any additional assistance. Kind regards, Larissa |

USAA Discount week 37 Build
Just got my build number last week. Dealer applied my USAA certificate to my MSRP deal with PCD. (certificate attached) You just have to love $2K off.
I responded to post on 6/28 that said a midwest CA had a 2018 allocation available and two weeks later have my exact build and the car was already moved from week 38 back to week 37. I can't wait. |

Man I wish I had someone who had served... It needs to be a direct relative, right?
I mean, my dad has been building our family tree on Ancestry.com and found that he (and thus I) is descended from a Revolutionary War soldier... but I doubt that qualifies me for USAA.

Interesting stuff. So how do you get the USAA certificate? I'm a USAA member so I have that covered. Is this through the car buying service or something else?

Haven't tried calling the number - but I will tomorrow - closed right now. Just wondering if I'm the only one having this problem. Has anybody else had different luck in the past 4 or 5 days? |
