The OEM hood was damaged, and the carbon hood was almost the same price...And it always could be pated later...

A first I agreed and couldnt wait to paint it..Now its growing on me. The pics dont represent the look AT ALL. Firstly on my BSM car unless u look for it, know its there or its extremely bright you dont notice it.Or I should say ir doesnt stand out. Secondly it weighs next to nothing.

Everyones entitled to their opinion, little more than 50% on this site like it and EVERYONE who sees it in person...

Honestly, it may be one of those things that doesn't come off in photos well and in person it looks better? It's your car OP. If you like it, then that's all that matters. Proper paint job is going to take you way over the cost of the OEM piece...keep that in mind. Might have looked better if your car was AW/LBB. then you could do roof and trunk and would be more of a contrast than currently showing against BSM. If you really like the hood the way it is, you can always just wrap the rest of the car in a diff colour to contrast!

...I'm from Canada. Being polite is a disease here.

Reminds me of the old Civics and Integras that rocked these hoods back in the day. Please paint it. Immediately.

It absolutely Is. A few friends didn't realize I install it until I pointed it out. It is much much darker without a flash or shutter.

The contrast it does have matches the carbon wrap on the "bumper fangs" the rear diff, spoiler and last but certainly not least the Vorsteiner Matte Graphite Wheels...

As for getting it painted i have a crazy hook up. $100-200 bucks.. That incluced 2-3 extra coats of clear and a basic design if I choose I want one...

Or this board have a lot of negative people w a lot of about negative things to say...I see posts and cars on here all day that disgust me. i hear people who cant change their own oil talking Shi* to people about tuning or this or that...Id love to crap on them and embarrass them in front of their peers...

But I was raised better than that, I compliment things I like,If I don't like it but have an idea, I'll give constructive criticism. But otherwise I keep my mouth shut especially when someone literally just bought something for over $1000...

Again that's me...Its a public forum say anything you want if it makes u feel better.

Hey, you put up your stuff on a public forum like you say, expect to hear from the public. Next time you change your oil, you should probably double check that the hood was latched...

I have to ask though, why would you be embarrassed because someone doesn't like something you did to your own car? Who cares? Own it. You came in with excuses to begin with on why you bought it, making it seem like even you didn't "love" it... To each their own. Not my favorite look but hey, I threw a line out there to get a few laughs and I did.

i read through this thread, lots of criticism regarding the fitment and the OP kindly asks for some feedback more than once so that he can make improvements , yet still no feedback and continued criticism, for what it's worth i cant see anything wrong with the fitment either

looks like the drivers side needs to be pushed toward the front a bit more. i agree that seibon hoods have some of the best fitment. when i worked at a shop, that was the only hood we recommended because of solid fitment all the time

Ill paraphrase my post before yours..."Hey say whatever you want if it feels better, I was raised differently and like to offer compliments and not tell someone they dont like something"

Let me ask you if we were face to face at a car show, would you tell me to my face u hated my hood or its ugly? I doubt it.. Why? Not bc of any other reason than its impolite. bottom line...

And the hood popped up bc my body guy after repairing the car couldnt find the hood closure sensor (its built into the latch) so leaving it was on and it stayed on for a week, and once it actually was open and i was used to it being on soi ignored it and it came up on me....So it was my fault but theres an explaination other than i just forgot to close it...

40 lbs seems like a good chunk of weight savings. Interested in actual figures here

I doubt 40lbs...The inside of the hood is layered like OEM. I held both of them up and I workout so I have a good sense of weight...Maybe 20 lbs difference...I was disappointed to be honest...
