UK Owners - The Diff Recall

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
So I know there are a couple of long threads on this but thought this could be for M2 uk owners to share and compare!

Mine was a week 23 build, booked in for first running in service a couple of weeks ago and the system indicated the recall, was confirmed last week at the service. New part(s) are now on order but it could be months before it's fixed. They did replace the diff fluid as planned and once fixed, will need to go back for another change after 1200 miles. I guess folks who already have their car, if affected, will be last in the queue. In the meantime, time to see what the redline does!

Anyone had their delivery delayed because of it?

Just had my run in service on Thursday no mention of the recall. How do you find out if your car is effected?

My car was built this week and delivery week was moved forward a week to week 35. Hope they haven't put a wonky diff in my car !!

Could you provide more details on this?? Is this a flywheel chatter issue for the mdct? Noisy flywheel intermittently loud when at idle.

This is the problem a group of us here have been trying to bring to BMWAU's attention.

They told me when I booked the running in service. If you're with a main dealer, they'll know but may not call until they have a clearer timeline when replacement parts are available?

Not aware of that one. Mine is manual but folks with dct may know?
