First (?) load of U.S. '18 M2s hits Baltimore today.

What appears to be the first boatload of U.S-bound '18 M2s is arriving on the Don Quijote in Baltimore today (7/28). Tomorrow, the boat is scheduled to head to California and Washington.

Anyone on this boat?

UPDATE: Boat is in the port.

I want to get a pic of a non exec pkged M2 with the adaptive LEDs (552?) and a pic of the associated window sticker showing a base sample and stick it in my CA's face! He'll have some 'splainin' to do.

I'll be happy to accomodate you in 10 days or so if that's how my Non-Executive car shows up. Despite all the paperwork saying they'll be there at no cost, I won't believe it until I see the whites of its eyes.

I'm on this boat...but I have MY17...I'm guessing I may have had one of the last MY17 builds. Wouldn't complain if it accidentally got flipped to MY18 though...

Didn't your CA tell you? Your VIN number should be able to tell.

yes it's a 2017...VIN and everything...was just wishful thinking...that got too serious just now lol

although i have had VIN issues in the past from a different manufacturer where the trim was listed different than what i bought...when i told the dealer that it wasnt the upper trim, they said they have to go by the VIN, so they have to pay me the price that's based on the higher trim. #smallwins!

This again...the non-exec come with standard LEDs and the Exec come with adaptive LEDs.

I don?t get the mystery here and if you?re expecting adaptive LEDs without the pkg you?re going to be extra disappointed.

Youre missing the point. There are several LCI buyers here who have posted order pics showing the 552 option on their Non Exec Pkged standard option list. Ive been stating all along that this is NOT how the car is optioned, but have met resistance from those who swear theyre getting it this way.. I only said I want to see a pic of non packaged cars with these adaptive LEDs as has been claimed, since every bmw exec Ive spoken with says what youre saying.

Not all of us are expecting (or even want) Adaptive LEDs - It's just that every confirmation and piece of "paperwork" BMW has released on these early '18s says the Adaptive LEDs are standard. Within 10 days we'll know for sure and can go on to arguing about something important, like the size and angle of the metal flakes in the paint of LBB cars.

LOL.. good one. Most curious to see how these are actually delivered vis a vis those lights... As for the metal flake, I will go out on a limb and predict that the size of the metal flake on the AW models is smallest.

I fall into the "early 18's" group and my Vehicle Inquiry Report shows them as part of the Executive Package, option 552.

Same. My order sheet MY18 (week 38) indicate adaptive LED headlights (552) is part of executive package .

LEDs or no LEDs, it's pretty exciting to see some of these hit the U.S. I'm sure there'll be a lot of pics very shortly.

Heck, I just ordered some LEDs to update my tails from the filament lamps....so call that a tiny sign of jealousy if you'd like

I will dispel the rumor that it only affects early '18 builds. I was originally a week 40 build that had the adaptive LED's listed on my non exec package build worksheet. I later added the exec package because it is cheap for all you get.

Here is an USA M3 that has the updated lights LCI lights but executive package was not choosen.

I hope the same can be done with the M2 since I do not want the executive package but want the updated lights.
