Are people actually paying this much for an M2?!
Pretty sure I or someone else have added these guys to the dealer naughty list before but that would have been some time last year...I'm shocked at these prices! Are ppl really paying this much??

When I started the process, I called a local dealership, and was told the wait time is between 6-10 months, and they added me to their order bank. As I started calling around, I've come across with multiple dealerships that have allocations available (week 6, 7 and 12), some of them even have cars @ their lots and will sell @ MSRP. Plenty of them available, just gotta look for it. GL! |

That's just it...just a little leg work and cars at msrp are a plenty! I guess there are plenty of ppl out there that are either totally clueless or have deep pockets and will pay the mark up because they just want the car...now.

I'm in SoCal and I'd be surprised if people are paying that high for the car. That being said I'm regretting not putting down a deposit last year. I'm still shocked at the demand for this (or lack of supply). It really must be that good. Still kicking myself.

Those cars have been advertised at those prices for months so clearly they are not moving them at the price they asking for. I noticed they order lots of individual colors for the M4s and have six figure MSRPs so perhaps they have clientele that are willing to pay that but from what I can see their cars sit for months.

Has anyone called or visited this dealership to see if they would take a reasonable offer around MSRP + a few thousand? Can't imagine they want to sit on these cars the rest or 2017.

The worst part is that BMW NA keeps giving them cars. Smaller dealers, who don't play games, are left waiting for allocations.
But hey, it is a free market after all.....

Yup a big difference from a high volume dealership who earns more allocations vs a low volume non certified M dealership who doesn't get many cars...let alone an M car. Could be a difference of receiving 1-2 a quarter vs 5-8 (maybe more) a quarter depending on dealership.

I randomly called my dealer yesterday. They had an allocation. I said, I would not pay over MSRP or I’d walk. They hummed and hawed but agreed. Plus, I got a discount through my company so I got it under MSRP. Giddy up! I think if you find a dealer, you have good credit, and can truly purchase the car. They won’t let you walk. Just my opinion.
Actually, they’re probably secretly happy they don’t have to negotiate on price and they still make good margins. |

Man, I called all the dealerships in GA several weeks ago and no one had any allocations and most of the wait lists were several people deep. Congrats on your new M2!

Best deal I got from them is $2000 over. That being said, their service quality and customer experience at top notch. For some clienteles, that is worth of the price.

Our dealership isn't one of those luckily. We did sell our only m4gts for a bit of a markup but all M2 will go out at MSRP. Unfortunately we have no more allocations.
